The Last Word (The Spellmans, #6)

Isabel's hostile take over of the family's PI firm has not gone well. As her parents rebel, she tries to juggle the cases and the paperwork side of the business.

All this is served with multiple storylines and plenty of laughs. The characters are as rich as always, and the ending is great. No, this isn't the last we'll hear from the Spellmans, but the ending of the book explains the title perfectly.

Set just after the events of Rogue One, this novel is about how the Empire struck back. It features the elite Inferno Squad, put together to infiltrate one of the rebel cells. The novel is also inspired by Battlefront II.
I liked the characters in general, and the story was interesting and well-paced. There are also some Easter eggs from The Clone Wars television show. Christie Golden has always been a solid author of video-game/franchise inspired stories. I hope Disney gives her another book to write.

I really enjoyed this and I knew I would, it just took me a while to get used to the writing style but when I did, I raced through it.

This is one hell of an adventure!

Watching Saba grow as a person was interesting. Jack, the cheeky chap, was fun and I loved his interactions with Saba and their fledgling romance--nawww!!

I now need book 2, Rebel Heart, to see how they meet again and to get answers about who DeMalo is, and why he helped.

"I’m currently reading Last Train to Memphis: The Rise of Elvis Presley by Peter Guralnick. Young Elvis lived in a non-wealthy section of non-wealthy Tupelo, MS and Memphis, TN, and liked to wear a lot of pink, which was unusual in either place. He was kind of a rebel without a cause, but then he found his calling, and the success story is pretty entertaining. His junior prom picture shows a young girl with what looks like a cardboard cutout of the King…he’s just already totally there, and he’s like 16."
