Better than expected!
I'll be honest I went into this movie not having seen the trailer so I was expecting a lame "Brendan Frasier esque" jumanji reboot. I was 100% wrong. This movie had a great cast and storyline. I was really impressed they didn't even try to reboot anything about the other movie. They made one small reference and that was all. Kevin Hart and Jack Black had me laughing out loud in this film. Highly recommended family movie that everyone can enjoy.

Some casting choices
When it was released that there would be a Beverly Hills 90210 reboot, most fans thought it would be a sort of continuation of the old show. Instead, it is a mockumentary of a reboot. While it is a bit odd, I don't totally hate it. I am however not thrilled with some of the casting of the fake family. It would have been more believable, or at least less distracting, if the spouses were unknown actors. It would feel a bit less cheesy in my opinion.

On the whole the movie reboot offers much of the same goofy superhero entertainment value as the various Power Rangers TV show

Cheesy stupid fun and Dwayne Johnson with no shirt.
When I first heard they were going to be making a reboot Baywatch movie all I really wanted was for a Cheesy movie and slow-motion running and that's pretty much what you get with the movie.
My favorite thing about the movie is Zac Efron's character constantly pointing out that they should just go to the cops since you know they are just lifeguards and have no business tracking down drug dealers and thieves.
In the end you get a cheesy reboot and not much else.
