Shadows on the Sand (Seaside Mysteries)

Just as Carrie and Greg might be ready to start a relationship, danger comes to their resort town. First the dishwasher in Carrie's restaurant is murdered, then her waitress starts acting strangely. What's going on? This is more romantic suspense than a true mystery, but I found the story compelling and the climax very suspenseful.

Investigative reporter finds that knock offs of designer purses are serious business when her story about them leads to murder. Meanwhile, her relationship with her boyfriend hits a rather serious hurdle. I'm a guy, so I had a hard time getting into the plot about the purses, but eventually, I did. Overall, I did enjoy the book.

Alice I Have Been

This fictional biography follows the life of Alice Liddell. Her childhood friendship with the adult Charles Dodgson gives him the inspiration for Alice in Wonderland. The writing was very descriptive, but I was very creeped out by the way their relationship was portrayed. It doesn't say anything unseemly happened, but it still really bothered me.

A great horror drama about a girl vampire who befriends a bullied boy in Sweden, A great foreign film done on a small budget that has some great cinematography I have to add. It can be a bit slow, it's more drama than horror action, but this makes certain scenes have more of an impact. One of the better vampire films around but the emphasis is on the relationship between the two children. Check it out!

This mobile app is a simplified version of the Sims, and is pretty fun to play... UNTIL you max out at level 40. There are no new hobbies, relationship types, nor any new careers. All that they seem to add to the game are the limited-time quests that if you complete them, you may get new careers or hobbies. Which, is a lame move. This would have been a 9 or 10 until yesterday.

The characters in thisbook were likable and developed. The settings were amazing. The plot took some twists and turns. The overall flow of the book was very good. The progression of the two main characters relationship and how it connects to their family history was unique. There were a couple of times I wanted to yell at Avery for being stupid. I definately recommend this book. It would be a beach or sitting by the fireplace read.

I have a love-hate relationship with the Amazon Kindle app. I usually am anti-ereader because I love the feeling of books and the experience of reading a physical copy, but I can't be 100% against them because I understand their purpose of trying to reduce papet usage, reading at night, etc. I also can't be a hypocrite because I have the app on my phone for convenience's sake. So anyways I guess the app is alright.

A thrilling debut novel about a mother, a son, his girlfriend and the consequences of a lie told in desperation. The dynamics of the females in this relationship are twisted, a kind of domestic darkness played out on a believable backdrop of upper class Kensington and council house Croydon. A chilling account that will make you value your relationships with your in-laws, the fast pace and compelling drama will keep you reading until the wee hours

I'd like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of Finding Dorothy in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book. Maud Baum was an absolutely fascinating woman and this book shows it off wonderfully.

I adored the strong relationship between her and Frank. It wasn't always perfect but it was wonderfully passionate.

Maud's determination to protect the legacy of Oz was moving and her interactions with Judy were beautiful and tragic.
