Great modern take on vampire genre
I won this book in a giveaway by Smashbomb, thank you. That said, it will not influence my review.

I haven't read many books with a prologue, this one had one and set the book up nicely that it wasn't going to shy away from the gruesome, being a vampire story you would expect nothing less.

The main characters Taz (no relation to Warner Bros one that ate everything) and Morgana (Morgan) I liked pretty much straight away for their love/hate relationship in and out of the bedroom (Some steamy scenes, be warned). Taz, arrogant, egotistical and generally full of himself, then you have Morgan, she reminded me of Selene from Underworld films in that she took no nonsense and was her own woman. They are forced to work together to solve the gruesome murders that threaten to uncover the centuries hidden vampire world that Kayla (human) thinks she is very close to uncovering.

A book that you can't put down, full of excitement, sex and vampiric action. I would highly recommend it and can't wait to read the next book.

Good family fun
My oldest daughter is a huge marvel fan. Anything marvel and we have to watch it. Ant Man and The Wasp was no exception. I went into this movie with a feeling of mehhhhh another marvel film. I was pleasantly surprised. Ant Man and The Wasp was good fun. There are many laugh moments in this film and most of it comes from Ant Man himself and his mishaps with his suit. Ant Man is a loveable rogue type character who is can sometimes seem a bit selfish.

He has selfish moments but he is trying to do the right thing and keep his daughter safe and stay out of prison so he can see her. The relationship between them is lovely. I didn't find the love interest relationship between him and wasp that believable and the movie could do without it. I liked the fact the Ghost was a character we start of disliking but by the end of the movie we want it to be ok for her. Overall This was a nice, easy, fun sit and watch movie with all the family

Batman: The Killing Joke (2016)
Batman: The Killing Joke (2016)
2016 | Action, Animation, Drama
The 2016 adaptation of one of the best-known, most iconic graphic novels of all time had massive shoes to fill. For me, it fell a little short, but was saved by the voice-acting and by, largely, sticking to the storyline it had to work with.
Before we get into the Killing Joke story proper, there is an added storyline following the relationship between Batman and Batgirl. This, plus the more cartoon-y style of the animation were a definite downer for a first 20 minutes. It doesn't really add anything to the overall piece, there is no apparent impact on Batman's actions as a result of their relationship.
That aside, this is a thrilling, gripping adaptation of the book, which sticks close to it. We learn about the Joker's backstory and first interaction with Batman, and we see that he has got into Batman's head as he always wanted.
The use of Mark Hamill as Mr J is excellent, his voice totally captures the Joker's madness, softness and violence.
A great spend of an hour, but something of a let-down from the book.

Ainjo is a singer-songwriter based in San Diego, California. Not too long ago, she released a chill contemporary R&B tune, entitled, “Toxic”, which is featured on her 5-track EP, entitled, “555”.

“What you wanna fuss and fight for? You can make ya way out the door. I don’t really understand why we keep on arguing. This is toxic you’re so hectic. I do not recommend this sh*t.” – lyrics

‘Toxic’ tells an interesting tale of a young woman who shares a very toxic relationship with her significant other.

Apparently, she’s unhappy because she’s tired of riding on the same emotional rollercoaster attached to their failing relationship.

‘Toxic’ contains a relatable storyline and ultra-sultry vocals. Also, the likable tune possesses laidback instrumentation flavored with contemporary R&B and neo-soul elements.

“My goal is to create songs people can relate to and turn on whenever they want to get into their feelings.” – Ainjo

Ainjo began her music career in 2017 when she released her debut single, entitled, “Cash Flaws”.

Her music inspirations influences include great artists such as Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse, and Eartha Kitt.

Spooning Leads to Forking is a very well written story about two boys who are figuring out just who they are. It is very fast paced, and you quickly get to the 'action'.

Dylan is a misfit, and happy to be one. Michael is the basketball star. One day their relationship changes in a BIG way, and you get the rawness, the nitty-gritty, the 'real' relationship two seventeen-year-old boys can have, including the insults, bitch slaps, and rough-housing. I would also say it is full of emotion and passion, bordering on obsession.

Very well written, with no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow, I would recommend this to anyone who wants a more 'real' story than one filled with unicorns and cupcakes (although they have their place too!). I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and would like to see more of Dylan and Michael as they grow older. Definitely recommended by me.
