Remake of wrath of Kahn
The new star trek series is yet to disappoint it's loyal viewers and the remake of the orignal second film does not disappoint. The story has changed for the better and Khan (Cumberbatch) is seen a fighter, defender and murderer in this version. Krik and crew are sent to kill Khan after he first creates a terroist event within the federation and then commits first degree murder in its leadership but, we all know kirk will do the right thing and tries to be himself when his emotions are already running high. If you have seen the first one you know how it ends this ending to me was much better thought out and is way better. I don't want to spoil it so if you are a fan please watch.

Authentic Mexican designs in the land of the dead
Not just a remake of the Book of the Dead!
This film sees Miguel's desire to play music in the talent contest lead to him being cursed on the day of the dead. His expired relatives take him to the land of the dead to sort the issue out before he becomes dead forever, leading to an adventure through the land of the dead in order to meet what appears to be a Mexican Elvis: Ernesto de la Cruz.
The adventure, the songs, the bright colours, the skeletons, the jokes all add up to a good Disney film (though it doesn't feel all that Disney), and so much better than the trailer, which really made it look like a remake of the Book of the Dead.

Who remembers Roger Rabbit?
My first summer job was in 1988 (I'm old) so I remember watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit over and over and loving it more each time I watched.

The late, great Bob Hoskins was able to hold his own against the melee of cartoon extravaganza put forth all around him. The story is fun and exciting with lots of twists and turns, but to just be a part of the cinema roller-coaster that is this film was all part of the fun.

Or seeing Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse together. Or seeing a piano duel with Donald and Daffy Duck.

I have never been a big fan of remakes, but they could probably do a great remake if Zemeckis decided to remake his own movie. I would be a fan of that.

The book of the dead

This remake of the 1981 version is good, but not great. Their is no ash chatcter, expect in the post credit sence which was shoot at the last minute.

Anways, Mia, a drug addict, is determined to kick the habit. To that end, she asks her brother, David, his girlfriend, Natalie and their friends Olivia and Eric to accompany her to their family's remote forest cabin to help her through withdrawal. Eric finds a mysterious Book of the Dead at the cabin and reads aloud from it, awakening an ancient demon. All hell breaks loose when the malevolent entity possesses Mia.

If you take the first letter of each charcters names it spells out demon. Intresting fact.

This film is gory, gory and more gory. I like the oringal film better than this. But this remake is okay.
