"Let’s see, what other movies do I like… Night of the Hunter. It’s a great movie, with Robert Mitchum doing that kind of creepy voice [mumbles]. I really love that movie."

A great twist (1 more)
Very gripping
Wow - loved it!!!
Gosh, what can I say? I just love Chris Carter's books and don't even have to read the back to know I'm going to enjoy it! Yet again Robert Hunter and his genius mind are faced with a deranged psychopath. This time however, as the crimes are committed all over the place, Robert and his partner are forced to team up with FBI, and as you can imagine both sides are not too pleased about it. Great, great book, cannot wait to read the next one.

"I’d say Night of the Hunter. It’s an amazing film. That’s where the original “love” and “hate” tattoos on the hand came from. A lot of people don’t know that. You know, the good Christianity, the true Christianity, versus the false prophet thing that plays out in there, and the imagery. It’s an intense and beautiful film. And I love Robert Mitchum. I wish he’d come back to life"

I just couldn't put it down...
Another fantastic novel in the Robert Hunter series.

Spine-tingling, gripping thriller which will keep you turning the page over and over. I honestly could not out it down. I was so immersed in the storyline.

They way the story is written makes you feel part of the plot. You feel so involved.

Will have you dying to read the next one...

Lions Among Us
The Ghost and the Darkness- is a good film. Both Micheal Douglas and Val Klimer are good in it.

The plot: Sir Robert Beaumont (Tom Wilkinson) is behind schedule on a railroad in Africa. Enlisting noted engineer John Henry Patterson (Val Kilmer) to right the ship, Beaumont expects results. Everything seems great until the crew discovers the mutilated corpse of the project's foreman (Henry Cele), seemingly killed by a lion. After several more attacks, Patterson calls in famed hunter Charles Remington (Michael Douglas), who has finally met his match in the bloodthirsty lions.

Its a good film.

"This memoir recounts the time Karen Blixen (a Danish author) spent in Kenya from 1914. When I saw the 1985 movie version with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford, it just killed me and inspired me to read the book. Both make me sob so much I can hardly breathe. Later, my assistant gave me a beautiful old copy, which makes me treasure the story more. I even stayed in the Karen Blixen suite at the Hotel D’Angleterre in her native Copenhagen. The relationship between Blixten and the Safari hunter Denys Finch Hatton broke my heart. It’s a book about finding and losing love"

"Sirk’s assembled team of actors and craftspeople has never been better! Frank Skinner’s underrated score really carries this hurtling narrative from its first insane notes, dialing up the Euripidean melodramatics to levels worthy of the luridly saturated Technicolors lensed by Russell Metty. Rock Hudson, Robert Stack, Lauren Bacall (of that certain age long before any other Sirk heroine), and the impossible-to-carbon-date Dorothy Malone, in a helmet of dead hair, whirl around each other like a mobile in a gale, all the while perfectly delivering dialogue as confected as Alexander Golitzen’s decors. Hard to believe Rock’s muse, Ross Hunter, didn’t produce this one!"

Description of murder (0 more)
One by one
My friend recommended this book to me and man, I could not be more grateful!!! Chris Carter is by far my favourite author.
It's been a while since a book had such an effect on me, as this one.
Detective Robert Hunter has to catch a sick murder, who broadcasts the murders, while getting the public to vote on how the victims are going to die.
Knowing how powerful social media is nowadays, I know that if this was to happen for real, people would vote and that scares me.
Seriously, the best description of murder ever.
I highly recommend this book to any true crime lover.

I parked at my local tescos and for over 30 minutes you need to spend £5 for the parking. I was in a rush so thought I'd grab the first book that had an interesting plot. Gallery of the dead sat on my shelf collecting dust for weeks/months. I have decided to give it a go the other day and I am so glad to have picked it up. This is my first time reading a book by chris carter but he ahs my attention every single page. I cant wait to get my hands on more books from the robert hunter series. A must read for crime loves I would say and highly recommend reading it! You'll get hooked!
