Russ Troutt (291 KP) rated The Haunting of Hill House in TV
Jul 2, 2019
I finally got around to visiting the Hill House the other night. While there I lost all concept of time and next thing I knew I blinked and almost two days had gone by. While there I experienced happiness, sadness, and being scared shitless; I loved every second of it. If you haven't got around to visiting it yet, The Haunting of Hill House should be your next binge. Make sure to get out of there before nightfall though, or it may be your last.

If you want a book that will make you cry from both happiness and sadness this is it. This book not only makes you believe in true love but see the heart breaking challenges of love as well. Nicholas Sparks is known for his tear-jerking romance novels and this book does not disappoint. One word of advice though; you may think you know why it is titled "The Choice" but you wont until you read it.

I had heard a little about this book before I saw that it was being made into a movie. The concept seemed cute and was definitely a good read. I was not prepared for the amount of sadness that I would have while reading and every time Cameron described the aging of the dogs, I found myself petting mine and holding her closer. Well written and easily embraces the view point of a dog from beginning to end and back again. I think all dog lovers should read this but have a tissue handy.

Look to your feelings
A good look on our inside instead of our outside. The movie is about our emotions and how they intereact with a daily situations. Anger,Joy,Sadness,Fear and disgust control our daily lives and how we respond. What it shows is what happens if one of our emotions takes over and how it can possibly ruin the way we act as a human. I think it was nicely done in showing us everyone has different things going on and fictionally how it is dealt with

Thought provoking, sentimental and sad
A wife struggles to deal with her grief over the death of her husband who drowned when they were on holiday. Years later she bumps into the doppelganger of her husband, her consequences of her actions shape the film and events afterwards.
Worth a watch, bittersweet film, portrayed so well you feel empathy for each character and how fleeting life is.
Also I wouldnt call this a comedy....more drama, romance, nostalgia and grief.
