Fae: The Realm of Twilight ( The Riven Wyrde Saga book 2)
By Graham Austin-King
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Riven Wyrde saga continues...
The Wyrde is dead and gone, its protection passed into the ether. The fae have been loosed upon the world as they begin their wild hunt, a nightmare from fables and legend made flesh. At Hesk, in the heart of the Barren Isles, Ylsriss must confront a reality she never could have imagined when her son is stolen from her by the fae. Her desperate attempts to reclaim him lead her far from this world and deep into the Realm of Twilight where a still darker truth awaits her. As the Bjornmen invaders drive their way deeper into Anlan, King Pieter refuses to act. Selena is forced to confront him directly as Devin and Obair flee Widdengate and begin a search for answers, seeking help from a woman who may be little more than a memory.
Now this was so much better than book 1. It was non stop following each of the characters journeys. From start to finish I just enjoyed every bit! The world building was just so beautiful and so worth pushing through book one as it all makes sense. If I had one thing that annoyed me was the abrupt ending I mean really? Just stop like that? I guess it on to book 3!!

Excellent 4th instalment of the Wheel of Time series. Rand tries to win the respect and following of the battle-savvy Aiel by entering mystical city Rhuidean. The events within this section of the book really are key for the saga as a whole, and Mat is gifted with the tools and knowledge he needs to become the true hero he is. Meanwhile Perrin tries to return to his old life, but things have moved on and he ends up leading an army in battle.
This book probably contains the biggest development in the main characters, all of Rand, Mat, Perrin, Nynaeve and Moiraine learn new things or undergo significant changes that will last throughout the series.

Bleak but beautifully written
I bawled while reading this as a child, especially reading this horrendously bleak tale. Orphan Oliver Twist escapes a rundown orphanage and workhouse only to live in further poverty at the hands of a terrible thief, who exploits young children to do his bidding. Oliver, a very simple and innocent boy, moves from one place to another in order to survive the harsh streets of early 19th century England.
It literally is a never-ending saga of one horrific incident after another, highlighting Dickens' strong views about how children were treated during Victorian times. And while there is a bittersweet ending, it leaves you with a feeling of deep sadness for these lost children.

Hancock continues the saga of Midnight and the F.O.R.S. gang as they try to take down one of the biggest cartel men. As usual the characters are deep and the plot flows with ease. You begin to see the fatal flaws of our hero's. I loved that we learned more about Joe Sinclair. Hancock creates a family within her chracters and sometimes you just want to reach into the book and smack some sense into them but I guess that is what makes them such strong personalities on paper. Not everyone can develop a person with words but Sherryl D. Hancock soes it with ease. I look forward to more of her books.

This book is my favorite in the Camel Club series by far! The story was filled with so many twists & turns that is was quite the breathless ride. I couldn't put it down for the last half & felt like I held my breath the entire time I was reading!
It tells the story of Soviet & American spies during the Cold War. Without giving too much away there is a great deal of murder & treason involved...along with a great con. I am in love with the character of Annabelle Conroy & so glad that Baldacci decided to bring her along for the ride in this installment too. Looking forward to the next chapter in the Camel Club saga!!!!

Introducing reality TV star Michael Myers!
Some people were turned off by the different style and almost humorous take on the ongoing Michael saga, but I thought it was a pleasant surprise.
Inject more young, fun actors like Busta Rhymes, Katee Sackhoff, Thomas Ian Nicholas and even Tyra Banks and what you have is a masterpiece of horror (not really, but at least something a little different).
Interesting idea to place a bunch of unknowns in Michael's childhood home as part of a reality show and watch the calamity ensue when bad things start to happen (and then the real Michael shows up).
Seems like I enjoyed more than most.
