Does not show a range of autism (0 more)
Good. Although a bit stereotypical
I watched this series is 3 sittings. I have a non verbal autistic nephew and I definitely saw many traits in the young protagonist, but not enough. I did enjoy it though. Funny, sad, witty, sharp.

I've been really interested in watching this, but was but off a little when I heard it had upset those on the spectrum. I think I might give it a shot though.

I saw this book advertised, and was looking for a light read at the time, so I gave it a chance. It ended up being a decent beach read type of book! It had a lot of humor throughout, and the story was fluid. I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to.

"This one’s a no-brainer. It was the first time I’d ever heard any band play that way; Deep Purple weren’t the same as Led Zeppelin, they were unique. Though I don’t recall the year it happened, I saw Purple playing with Uriah Heep at Sheffield City Hall… which brings me to my next selection."

"I love River’s Edge. River’s Edge is one of those movies like… I grew up in Colorado. When I saw it, I was like, “That’s more like where I’m from than a John Hughes movie.” It’s like seeing that, and then seeing Gummo. That feels more like where I’m from than Can’t Hardly Wait."

"As with Repo Man, I first saw Do the Right Thing at a time when the right movie could take up residence in your brain for decades afterward. Thirty years later, it remains one of the most jubilant, colorful, singularly electrifying films made in my lifetime. To paraphrase Da Mayor: Always Do the Right Thing."

"When I first saw Haim, I said, “There’s something about this band that feels extra-fresh. What is it?” I did some research, and it turns out Alana Haim was born in the Nineties. She’s the one who brings that youthful, born-in-the-Nineties spirit to the group. Sadly, Vampire Weekend doesn’t have that."

"I think my favorite movie is Lawrence of Arabia. To me, it’s just about a perfect film; in the performances and what it means to me. I saw it as a boy — and I just can’t stop watching it, every time it comes on. All David Lean’s movies, really. I love Doctor Zhivago, too."
