When I first saw the previews for this movie, I was sold. I like different takes on Dracula, and I thought the backstory they built was really cool. I was kind of sad when it didn't do well, and it'll probably never get a sequel. I loved Luke Evans as Dracula, and if Universal had decided not to can Dark Universe, I'd have hoped they'd have opted to bring him back.

This book has it all, a little romance, some suspense, and quite a bit "I never saw that coming". It is a combination cozy mystery and suspense/romance, which makes it a great book for all three genres of readers. This story entwines the lives of Libby, her sister Mia, the couple that helped Libby through a horrible time in her life, and Rebecca a mother trying to understand what happened to her daughter.

I am a big fan of the Steve Alten book series of the Meg. Now....when it comes to the movie....it was....entertaining at most. I saw it in 3D so maybe that’s why. Special effects were okay....nothing spectacular. I do feel that maybe if the movie were casted differently....my rating may be a little different. Wasn’t a big fan of the acting (if that is what we can call it)....

It could have been so much better
When I watched the first installment of the Divergent series I thought wow this is awesome. Then Insurgent came and it was victim to the sequel curse. When i saw Allegent was coming out I thought for sure they must have learned their lesson.
Nope.
A shame because the actors are fab but their talent is wasted in this.
Wouldn't recommend wasting time watching this.

Agreed, but still better than the hunger games to me.

See I enjoy the hunger games but that could be down to the fact I love Jennifer Lawrance and Woody Harrelson. 😂

This is the perfect Christmas gift to your friends with kids! Like me that have probably read "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" too many times to count and the rhythm has become so ingrained that if they walk at the right place they could start reciting the book. Kudos to these fictional parents, if I did their pub crawl I would be sloshed enough to think I saw a bear too!

I will admit that I saw this movie years ago and only within the past year got around to reading the book. Without giving any spoilers I can safely say the I prefer the ending to Stephen King's book so much more than what the movie offered. As always his books are just the right combination of creepy and realistic to prevent his work from being unbelievable. My all time favorite author.

"This was the first cookbook I ever saw, let alone read, that strayed from the usual format. Ms. Gray followed her husband, a twentieth century sculptor, on the hunt for marble in often remote locations throughout the Mediterranean. Written with humor, elegance and grace, it’s a culinary catalog of a journey and a kind of cooking that’s the “result of a balance struck between frugality and liberality.” This is a cookbook to read in bed."

"I have no idea if this is anything near an accurate representation of the New York punk scene at the time, because I wasn’t there. But when I saw this as a teenager I certainly thought that it was, and that I was getting a glimpse of something really special. It also introduced me to Richard Hell, the Feelies, and ESG, and you can’t say that about many—or any—other films. —Will Young"

"I have always liked Tracy Morgan, and when I saw him in that movie teaching this kid how to hit on women in a mall, and his head pops up and he says, “Peekaboo, I’m gonna hump you” — that is the funniest thing I’d ever heard in my life. Really, that alone made me want to pick this movie. Sometimes stupid humor is great, and that movie just puts me in a great mood."
