Somtimes tries to hard to be intellegent
Again better than critic give it credit for.
Ever since I saw the first trailer for this film I wanted to see more.

The opening half an hour of the film for me was a rather slow burner. That being said the story that is being told and entire plot is something that we need more off. Some people will look at this film at see it as making a political point others will look at it and go it got great chi others will go great sci fi. That happens to be what makes it special is that it bridges the gap of so many diffrent genres and age groups maybe that why it can come across as disjointed at times.

This film is also a film I think you need to watch a couple of times to truly grasp it depth and meaning and the true beauty of it. This may put some people off but it has left me wanting to watch again to truly grasp everything and if that is not the Mark of a great film well I dont know what is.

Nearly bored me to flatline.
Okay first off I'm pretty sure I never saw the original flatliners so I went into this like it was a newish concept for a movie.

Flatliners at its bare bones has a really interesting take on what happens to us after we die and what could happen to us if we manage to come back, I really wished they would have focused more on that aspect of the story and showed a little more of what each person went through when they "crossed over" instead of adding unnecessary love plotlines and even more unnecessary sex scenes that just ended up boring me nearly to death.

The other thing I was really hoping for was for this to venture a little more into the horror genre but sadly they wasted a really good opportunity with a few crappy jump scares that you could see coming from a mile away.

I recommend watching this if you literally have nothing else to watch or if you were a fan of the original and want to see how they updated it.

This book is fantastic. It's so inspiring and interesting and exciting. It's divided into four sections: Cuffs and Collars, Necklines, Corners and Edges, and Closures. Each one has pages and pages of different interesting unique ideas.

I would call this book a designer's sourcebook. Yes the patterns can be used to change or alter an existing pattern, or dress up that plain sweater, but they can also be used in and of themselves. Collars can be used as cowls, Cuffs can be turned into wristlets, or even mittens or gloves. I see potential hats and socks in here too for people like me who like to write down the pattern as they go, or design something based off a picture they saw.

There's even a few full patterns thrown in here, all of which I love, and a few of which I'm definitely going to have to knit… especially that fair isle sweater. Goodness gracious it makes me want to jump for joy.

The patterns themselves are easy to understand and concise, and the pictures are very good and show off the project without being distracting.

Genna Hastings, had returned home early from her vacation since she had sprained her ankle. Shortly after getting out of the car, she is hit in the head by the kids in the neighborhood who were playing football. They had been using her yard while she was gone and playing with J.J. Hennessey, the Hawks quarterback. Genna, had no idea who he was, but was definitely taken aback when she saw his yard full of pink flamingos. As if that wasn't bad enough, his whole bad boy exterior was enough to scare anyone away.

When J.J. Hennessey first meets Genna, he is taken aback. Most women swoon over him, she was having none of that.

After losing her job for the summer(Genna's a teacher), J.J. presents her with an opportunity she really can't turn down. Throughout the summer, Genna and J.J. will learn things about each other that will surprise them both.

Will this summer job lead to a summer romance? What will happen when the summer is over?

This was a cute, romantic comedy by Tami Hoag. This is the first book that I have read by her, and I'm interested to read more.

This was really good. I have been a Trevor Noah fan since my sister told me about him a few years ago and I watched one of his specials on Netflix. Then for my 1 year anniversary with my now husband, we saw him live and he was even better than on TV. When I found out he had written a book, I couldn't wait to read it and I am so glad that I did. It was enlightening, insightful, funny and very honest. I loved hearing about his relationship with his mother, how he came to know his father, learning more about apartheid and how that affected him as a mixed child growing up in South Africa and how he came to be where he is today. I actually listened to it as an audiobook, which I really enjoyed because he has such a soothing voice and he is great at doing variations and inflections on his voice to make it sound younger, older or pretty much anything. Bottom line, it was a great read and it makes me respect and love Trevor Noah even more.

I read this book aloud to my 5 year old daughter. This is her review:
"The book was awesome and funny. My favorite part was when they saw Santa and thought he was trying to get in ( they thought he was an invader) and Santa just kept trying to get in. I also liked when the Knight said, 'Jingle bells, Invader smells, Jingle all the way.' I also liked when they took all the gifts and presents Santa threw at them and decorated the tree with them. I also love that the author made the book and that she was so thoughtful."

Mom's review: This book was really adorable. A fun play on the old Christmas poem T'was a Night Before Christmas. The story was funny and creative. The Knights all had their own personalities and funny quirks and Santa's persistence made for an enjoyable read. I liked all the little extras going on in the background of the illustrations and little sayings and singings of the Knights. Definitely a recommended book for all ages of young children. The pictures even kept my toddler entertained.

It’s 1914. American women are demanding the vote. And the first flames of the Great War are

igniting Europe. But a battle of a different sort rages in Oklahoma. The thermometer registers one hundred six degrees, an out-of-the-ordinary occurrence even for the twenty-eighth day of July. But this is no ordinary day. The jury has reached a verdict. Lily fidgets in the old church pew. Her name has clotted into a by-word. Her blood is tainted. Can she right the wrongs? Or will her past forever define her? She eyes the judge. And the courtroom holds its breath.

My thoughts : This is an interesting story of a young woman struggling with her past. Her.
father beat  her and now she is afraid for her brother.  Lilly heads to Texas where a job awaits her, but God has other plans.

This is a good story.  I like the mystery of the sea chest and reading the ancient journal Lilly`s mother left her.

What I saw in this story was a young woman find I ng her way in the world, and finding God.  A story of love, and letting go of the past.

Pus And Goo Replaces Blood And Guts
Contains spoilers, click to show
Felt an urge to watch this as I saw it listed as “one of those films so horrific it’s impossible to sit through.” I sat through it.

Whilst there are some exceedingly puke inducing moments, with pus and goo galore, there is not much else going for the movie.

The acting is poor, and not one of the characters are likeable, which means you don’t really care what happens to them. There are also some incredibly silly scenes - guy notices he hasn’t seen his girlfriend for a few days, yet fails to notice when his Mom goes missing; same guy gets told by girlfriend’s bitchy friend that his girlfriend cheated on him, he states he would never do a thing like that, yet seconds later is butt naked humping the bitchy friend!

There are a few moments when the film does grab your attention, and it’s certainly not a film you’d want to watch on a full stomach, however I was ultimately disappointed overall. And the main character’s head twitching made me want to punch the TV screen in ?

Deja vue?
I loved the original Happy Death Day. It was a great blend between horror & comedy with a really great idea - person is being stalked by slasher and has to live the same day every day usually ending up being killed by the baby mask wearing killer. So when I saw there was going to be a sequel I was glad...what was advertised was this time its not just the main character but the whole main cast being stalked and killed off. Well that lasts for about 15 mins. Then we get some silly science bollocks to try and explain things and then puts the film back to the same day as in the original focusing on the main character again. Literally exactly the same as the first film - same shots and everything!!...the ending seems rushed and the killer reveal seems lazy and tacked as an afterthought. There are things to enjoy - the characters are well played and theres some good comedy it's just such a shame they didn't evolve the story and did something different to the first film.

My husband made me watch this one evening when we were first moved in together and usually the films he has made me watch haven't gone well!
I saw how old the film was and as I am a classic film lover I gave it a try and it has become one of my favourite films of all time!
The acting is superb, just raw talent and real passion.
I definitely think this film deserves it's high rating on rotten tomatoes and IMdb, it had everything in it that makes a good film and more. It has me laughing, crying, cringing, angry, sad and rooting for Andy and Red!
In the 'Bad' section I have only included one issue I have but that is because of how much you start to like the character of Andy. To see him go through what he did in the film genuinely breaks my heart every time I watch it.
If you haven't seen this film, Please get watching, I'm certain you won't regret it!
