Confusing plot
I wasn't expecting much from the film and I wasn't shocked when it turned out to be the worst film I'd watched for years. The plot is barely there and it certainly doesn't follow any structure that I could work out. Jumpscares are probably the scariest part of the film and they were hardly 'scary' either. I've never wanted to leave a film in the cinema before but I was ready to grab my bag and leave when it became evident that the film was trying too hard to be scary visually (of which it failed spectacularly) and there were no clever intricacies in the plot to really put the goolies up you. The legend of Slender Man really has not been done justice.

Creepy but not really scary. It was a good movie, but I was expecting something a little more frightening. I will say that I'm looking forward to seeing The Nun a continuation of the story.

A very average slasher that is a bit of a let down really. Not scary, gory or anything memorable about it and the ending was the only saving grace, but even that was half predictable.

Awesome special effects, true to the original story cast, including a great performance from Will Smith as the Genie, although Jafar could have been a bit more scary! Enjoyable family escapism. (0 more)

Scary tale of what happens during a flu epidemic. Real-life characters you love, hate, and look for under your bed. I have read this novel numerous times and it never gets old. (0 more)

Atmospheric chiller
A decent British film that has plenty of creepy atmosphere, without ever really being scary. A good British cast with a lot of recognizable faces give a good performance collectively and the story is interesting.

Really well written accounts from cops of all the weird spooky unexplained stuff they see in their job. You will be freaked out I promise.
