Peter G. (247 KP) rated Whiplash (2014) in Movies
Jun 5, 2019
This movie introduces us to newcomer Miles Teller as a high school drummer under the guidance of maniacal music teacher who thinks nothing of shredding pupils confidence in themselves as an excuse to get the best out of them with sometimes grave consequences as they are pushed to the very edge, not to be missed.
Autumn (3 KP) rated The House of the Lord: A Study of Holy Sanctuaries Ancient and Modern in Books
Jan 19, 2018
this was more of a factual instead of a spiritual book. this is a fantastic overview of everything you didn't learn in sunday school about ancient temples. i didn't even know about the zerubabbel temple. it also includes the entire text of the salt lake temple dedicatory prayer and lots of interesting tidbits about the construction.

Leah (: (569 KP) rated Kiss Me (Keatyn Chronicles book 2) in Books
Jul 26, 2018
The second book in the Keatyn Chronicles is just as good as the first. Keatyn tries to continue with her life and adjust now she is at boarding school.
The continuation of the writing style as a diary really helps you to become invested in Keatyn’s daily life and struggles.
Definitely recommend this series if you enjoy YA romances.

Dean (6926 KP) rated Mr. Woodcock (2007) in Movies
Dec 24, 2018
An average comedy with a strong cast line up. Pretty much run of the mill jokes about the son who disapproves of his Mum's new man. It turns out to be the gym instructor who made his life hell at school. Has a few funny moments but not nearly enough of them, especially for the talented line up!
Eleanor (1463 KP) rated One of us is Lying in Books

Really not my cuppa tea way too much teen drama and too predictable.
The cliches just kept on coming, although if the whole high school teen drama is your bag I did find the writing better then some I've not bothered to make it to the end of. Not much in the way of a mystery though.
