Possibly the best TV show ever
Technically sci-fi (Sam is sent back through time into the body of people whose lives went wrong to try and stop certain events from happening) but each episode was a mini-drama in itself with a sci-fi overlay. Whether Sam became a pregnant woman, a struggling aging baseball player or a young man with down's syndrome, Scott Bakula's character had to work out who they were (starting with the standard "Oh boy" in the mirror), and with the help of his hologram assistant Al (Dean Stockwell) what events they would be trying to avoid. Once the task was complete, Sam would "leap" out, each time hoping the next leap would be the leap home.
Truly brilliant and I have nice warm fuzzy memories of watching with my family throughout the early 90s.

Sci-fi horror at its finest
A simple concept of a group of astronauts returning from a far away mission and awakened prematurely by their computer to investigate an unknown signal so thy can investigate. What they find within the hostile environment of the strange planet started an entire new genre of sci-fi horror which has not been equaled even to this day.

You can make an argument which is better Alien or Aliens; however, Aliens is an action film whereas the original Alien is claustrophobic, uneasy, foreboding and a masterpiece.

The stunning visuals accompanied by a stellar cast and a masterful look and feel make Alien a true one-of-a-kind and something that has been mimicked and copied over the years with varying degrees of success without equaling the original.

Yet another Ryan Reynolds Netflix film, they do seem to be churning them out pretty quick lately. This time a time travel Sci-Fi film with some good action and more laughs. Accidentally travelling back to today from 2050 he meets up with himself as a young boy.
Seems to have ideas from quite a few time travel films but the main fun is the humour to be had between the Young and older Adam. It has a decent budget, although the Cgi for a young version of the villian looks more computer game level.
Overall it's a fun film with some touching moments with a fairly straight forward plot. Ryan Reynolds again raising quite a few laughs to put a smile on your face.

Life is a solid and enjoyable sci-fi flick. It's certainly not going to be a classic that will be remembered in years to come but it's definitely entertaining. The visuals are strong - both for the look of space and the realisation of Calvin the alien.

Great sci-fi fantasy read - adventure, romance, battles ... All the feels
I've had this on my TBR list for a long time and I am so glad I finally got to reading it. I really enjoyed the storytelling and character building - it had me in tears within the first few chapters and cheering by the end. I am looking forward to reading the next one.
