Only half way through but have already ordered the second one that comes out in a few months. The cover states that it is a little bit of The Golden Compass and a little bit of The Hunger Games, well if you are a fan of those type of books not forgetting the Maze then add this one to your reading list. It is classed as a book for Young Adults but if you like science fiction and fantasy then you need to read it. Set in the not too near future as technology is heading that way.

Altered Carbon, (Netflix)

Alternately mind bending, exciting, confusing, thrilling, cleverly written, dazzlingly plotted, and all-around fantastic, this may be the best science fiction television show I’ve ever watched in my whole life. Watch it, and find out that I’m not exaggerating. Be forewarned: it is fairly confusing, and has tons of violence and full frontal nudity throughout. LOTS of violence and TONS of nudity. I LOVE this show! So clever!! (There are always going to be plot holes and logic jumps and gaps, let the show be what it is and you WILL be entertained!)

The Struggle Is Real
Generally when someone in the board game community talks about a “thematic” game, there is a particular archetype they’re referring to–the science fiction or fantasy themed game with minis, elaborate artwork, and the promise of action, narrative, and adventure. Twilight Struggle does not look this kind of game. It’s set in the Cold War, has a functional but not flashy art design, and provides cardboard chits instead of plastic miniatures. However, Twilight Struggle is perhaps the most thematic game ever made.

Just Because
Just like book 1, this is a good book for young adults who like science fiction and romance. It might be a little boring for some adults.

MILA is on her own now but still doesn't know her place in the world. She is not only on the run from General Holland but also from Vita Obscura who both want to use her for their own gain. With all the running and the confusion going on inside her head, MILA has no clue who she can trust and is learning to rely on herself.

Minority Report- is a excellent movie. The action, the sci-fi, the future, the plot, the cast, etc. Also Steven Spilberg directs it, so thats a plus.

The plot: Based on a story by famed science fiction writer Philip K. Dick, "Minority Report" is an action-detective thriller set in Washington D.C. in 2054, where police utilize a psychic technology to arrest and convict murderers before they commit their crime. Tom Cruise plays the head of this Precrime unit and is himself accused of the future murder of a man he hasn't even met.

A excellent movie.

This is my first classic science fiction read, and I'm just confused. I am not sure whether that confusion will dissipate when I absorb the story over time, or whether I'm just going to stay confused! This story did not go in the direction i expected at all, and though that's not a bar thing by any means, it's frustrated me, as I kind of feel disoriented by where we got to. Saying all this, sometimes you read something and you understand is greatness, but you just don't think it works for you, or maybe I'm just a bit slow in understanding.
