Creed II (2018) boxes clever but it's clear the franchise won't make a 10 count...
Conspicuously more formulaic than the first movie, “Creed II” does at least have the distinction of being a sequel to two different movies at the same time, picking up not only the story from “Creed” but also “Rocky IV”. Thematically, it riffs harder on the idea of legacy and fatherhood, forcing both Adonis and Rocky himself to confront their father and son issues respectively...

I’m probably the last person in the world to watch Human Traffic! I was somehow under the impression it was like Trainspotting, which I found as boring as fuck! However, I loved HT much better, not that I’m biased - being Welsh (I’m Swansea rather than Cardiff!)

I wasn’t a party person myself but watching Jip, Nina, Lulu, Koop and Moff I really felt like I wanted to be. I think it captured the feeling of the 90’s. Will be excited to see the sequel!

It may have taken fourteen years, but it’s finally time to deal with the rise of the Underminer! Incredibles 2 (2018) #Review
Picking up mere moments after the first film ended, “Incredibles 2” wastes no time in re-treading the same ground as its illustrious predecessor. Brad Bird had been reluctant to make a sequel to his superhero magnum opus until he figured out the right story. It turns out, the right story was pretty much the one he told the last time...

Sequel to Sean Thomas Russels' "Under Enemy Colours", again following the adventures of Captain Charles Hayden aboard the frigate Themis

As before, a large portion of the novel details one particular mission, 'bookended' by events in England. Most - not all - of the characters from the first novel reappear, alongside some new faces and historical personages as Russell continues to build on his previous work. While the novel does occasionally flounder, this is syill an enjoyable read and a worthy successor to that earlier work.

Way too serious!
If you liked the original George Lucas classic, you may not like its very serious sequel.

Instead of cruising having a good time with your friends before you are off to college, the main characters deal with issues like the Vietnam war, protests and the peace movement.

The music is still great and there is a very funny cameo scene; however, it is not enough to save this film which just gets the tone completely wrong.

At last a decent low budget horror that was quite entertaining! It had a good cast with a few familiar faces from TV of yester year. The story was something a bit different from the normal. What really made this for me though was the design, largely on animatronics and prosthetics than cgi, of the ghost characters. The production of the whole film looked pretty good for the budget. It reminded me a lot of Thirteen Ghosts. Hopefully there is scope for a sequel.....or two!

"It's one of those pictures that puts the lie to that idea that the sequel is never better than the original. Again, you have a filmmaker in James Whale who has now been given more resources to explore the same themes and issues as he did in the first film but he brings along with it an attitude towards the material and a result he doesn?t so much kid it as parody it. It?s a beautiful film to look at, extremely well acted, very witty."
