Looking a little dated now
Hell hath no Fury
Finally got around to watching this. I'm a big Stephen King fan. I've not read the book of this but the film is just ok. Only so much material you can get from a possessed car. Some of effects are good for the time. The plot is very thin though and runs out of gas very quickly.

Not so amazing
I'm not sure we really needed this re-boot so soon after the other films! It seems to stay faithful to a lot of the ideas behind Spiderman and therefore some scenes are just like the first film, which makes me think why not try something totally different?! It's a good film though and the action and SFX are very good, overall I think it missed some of the charm of the recent first film.

Hmm it's ok I didn't think it was as good as the first. A lot of drama and not enough action for me. The pace of the film felt too slow and the comparison to Romeo & Juliet is overplayed. Some ok SFX, pity didn't get to see more of the bad vampires. One girls will like more than the guys, especially with all the topless guys showing six-packs stomachs. Hope the 3rd is more action packed.

A new lease of life for the Star Wars saga
Another great Star Wars film that links nicely with A new hope. Probably the best film I saw last year and I watched a lot of films. To me it even betters Force Awakens and feels like a new film. Whereas Force Awakens felt more like a retread of ideas from the original trilogy.

Confused by after-credits scene
Better than expected, but it's more of a 'one-time'watch
Film definitely suffered with so many new characters, backstories and villain plots being introduced, you'll definitely struggle to understand whats going on unless you've seen the previous films. That being said,the new cast were great(loved Carina), the storyline was good and the film stands out from the previous 4.

A great film on so many levels. I love the Alien designs and look of the found spaceship by H.R. Giger. The film is genuinely scary with some iconic scenes. It slowly becomes a game of Alien and mouse aboard a spaceship, providing a claustrophobic setting. If you haven't seen this where have you been?

An epic adventure
What a great way to bring to conclusion some 22 films over the past decade. So many characters, so many great films. This film is no exception. It has some great battles, great SFX as you would expect. It's also a very poignant film with a vast array of emotions felt by the characters and the viewer. Overall a very good conclusion to the Marvel saga.

A great OTT action, disaster film on a grand scale. The budget must have been huge, the SFX alone are very good and the biggest pull of the film. So very well done, you'll feel like you're on a roller coaster ride the whole time. Very similar to all the other big blockbuster films of Emmerich, The day after tomorrow and Independence day and this sticks to the same formula. Good cast to, well worth checking out!

A decent sword & sandals film. Generally more like 300 than Clash of the Titans thankfully. From the same producers I believe as 300 and it has a very similar CGI visual style to it. A nice twist to some of the Greek mythology in the story. The fight scenes are well choreographed and the SFX are very good. Add to that Mickey Rourke giving a good performance as the chief villain and you have a very good film.

A good action film with a popular cast. Not bad SFX, but the story gets a bit weird at times?! It kinda has a X men feel to it with the characters having different special powers, but it isn't as good as those films. It maybe could have done with a few more actions scenes, there is a lot of dialogue and scenes waiting around deciding what to do next. Worth a watch, if nothing special overall.
