Kristin (149 KP) rated Twin Peaks - Season 3 in TV

Sooooooo crazy, and I definitely finished it with a giant WTF look on my face, but it was awesome to see most of the original actors back in roles that made many of them famous in the first place. I'm planning to watch it again as soon as I can to pick up on little things I may have missed upon first viewing. David Lynch says it's best viewed as a marathon, so I may take a couple sick days...

I loved this movie, though I found it confusing at times. When the world started buckling and changing, I had to rewind the movie and make sure I wasn't seeing things (I probably shouldn't have watched this movie when I was sick!). I loved the strength of character and there were a few statements or paradoxes that I still like to ponder to this day. I hope to see a second one sometime with many of the same cast members!

OHG this series... dark, sick and twisted and yet so good. This has been by far the hardest in the series to read for me so far.. without sharing spoilers, my heart broke over and over again until I simply couldn't take any more (and then grabbed the next book of course!?). You know those books where your heart races, your blood boils and you find yourself shaking uncontrollably as you have a panic attack while reading....well, this is THAT book!?

May 4, 2020
The Good Demon is a gritty, dark, and refreshing YA story about Clare, a 15 year old girl who undergoes an exorcism without her consent. After the demon within her is purged, Clare is sick of her community trying to decide what's best for her and sets off to reclaim the demon stolen from her. The Good Demon explores topics such as consent, feminism, and religion, all while supporting Clare as a woman who can and does make decisions for herself.
