This is the second book in this series by this author. This is a story about a single dad falling in love. You will fall in love with the characters as you read. This book has lots of romance with some well placed suspense to keep you reading. A fantastic holiday/beach read book. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.
Highly recommended

"This art form, and it is an art form, which winds up being tagged as blues, is largely made up of expressions so genuine that they come straight out without second- or third-draft revisions. There's a resonance that's magnetic, kind of a compelling entity of its own. Shemekia Copeland, her dad is also from Houston, and released a couple of regional hits under the name Johnny 'Clyde' Copeland. As teenagers when we had the garage band we attempted playing – and the word is attempted – his great record 'Down On Bending Knees'. Talk about compelling – that was a great record.

Unknown to me, Shemekia recorded a ZZ Top song, 'Jesus Just Left Chicago'. Her people asked if I'd consider playing a guitar figure and I said I'd really enjoy it. She didn’t know that I treasured the work her dad gave us. I said, well what's this for? A single? ""Well, we think it'll be single-worthy, as part of an album."" An album? Well I gotta hear it."

The Problem (Single Dad Support Group #1) by Piper Scott
The Problem is the first book in the Single Dad Support Group series, and we start of with Laurence and Alex. Laurence is a member of the group, dad to sixteen-year-old Matthew. Alex is friends with one of the members, but doesn't know much about it INCLUDING the members. Alex and Laurence meet at an exhibition showing Alex's work. Sparks fly, and colours light up Alex's world.

I loved this foray into an Omegaverse different from others I have read. There was no shifting, no wolves, just Alphas and Omegas. The explanation of Alex's synesthesia was done in a way that was helpful, without it seeming as just a piece of information! It formed part of the story, integral to Alex, and that was just perfect. His own realisation of what the colours meant was was of the best scenes for me.

This was hot and steamy, with a dash of Daddy kink; plenty of laughs; some heartbreak and confusion; and lots of hints about what and who will come in the next book. I can't wait. This was well written, with no editing or grammatical errors that I noticed. I thoroughly enjoyed every word, and I will be reading more in this series!

so desperately wanted to hear from Sam!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

Graham takes his dad to the cabin in the woods, because he cannot be on his own anymore. Ravaged by Alzheimer's, his father needs calm, and peace. But Graham can no longer look after his dad and work, so he hires an in-home nurse, Sam. Sam and Graham have met before, after a brief hook-up. Sam wants more, but Graham has to take a step back, and make Sam realise, what's slowly killing his father could very well kill him too.

It's only short, this one, some 85 pages, but Brook manages to get a lot in those 85 pages!

We get the intensity of that initial hook-up. We get all of Graham's fears for his dad. We get all of Graham's emotions trying to keep Sam at arms length, while fighting to pull him close. We get all of GRAHAM.

What we don't get is Sam. Any Sam, at all. And that's the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars, because it is single person point of view. Had Sam had a say, this could well have been a 5 star read, it really could!

It's not overly complicated, just two men falling in love while one tries really hard not to. There is no major breakup/make up, no nutty exes. It has some sexy time, and some emotional times, especially when Graham is fighting with himself to look after dad but having to admit that he really can't.

It really is a lovely, if short, read. Passed an hour, while watching the rain, on a Sunday afternoon.

4 solid stars

The amount of Jack Jack was amazing!! I love the focus on Elasti-Girl and the Incribile. The single dad aspect was so funny and I enjoyed seeing Edna Mode again and Jack Jack mimic her. (0 more)
I could’ve done without the use of the words Damn and Hell in a movie I took my 4 year old to. I also really didn’t appreciate the use of Oh my God in the movie. (0 more)

Such a great movie!! I would absolutely pay to see this movie a second time and will pre-order this one. My little girl asked to see it again before we left the theater.

Totally agree with that little bit of language. I was pretty surprised.

"I love it because I feel like I’ve got an insight of what my dad was kind of like. Also, in the movie I did with [director Richard Linklater — Everybody Wants Some!!] too, it was just cool to see this is kind of — like, my dad could’ve been one of these guys easily. It just shows that nothing’s changed. You’re relating to your parents — or any generation really — without having to be in front of them. It’s a really cool time-travelling-of-the-soul type of movie, which I really dig. It really holds up. It’s timeless. It sounds cliché — saying “timeless” — because that’s what I’m going to say about every single one of these movies, but the thing that’s cool about that is that there’s nothing close to what I’ve experienced. I didn’t have the same hair. I didn’t have the same music. I didn’t have the same clothes. I didn’t have the same kind of approach to anything, really, but I feel like I’ve been there still. That’s really cool when a movie can do that. You can see behind the mask and everybody can still relate. It’s really cool, and that movie does that."

Childish, ridiculous nonsense... and that's why it's fun.

Something that films like this can be guilty of is taking a joke too far in a single scene. Happytime tap dances down that line and looks like it might stumble clear over but it does managed to just avoid it. Just.

Much like I didn't know I needed to hear Nic Cage saying "anal beads" in Mom & Dad, I didn't know that I needed to see a muppet jizz silly string.

It's not muppets like you know them, but there are some nostalgic drops in there. The one thing that I can't judge is whether this will stand up to being watched more than once. What I do know is that I wouldn't turn it off if it came on the TV.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Thomas Nelson through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. This book was a story of Brady a single dad who has to deal with issues in his past and present with his son. And Hope who has some issues of a lost love and fear to love and let someone love her . This story shows love, friendship, trust, and hope between Hope and Brady. They both work together and come up with a plan to help save Brady from losing his son. They both have scars they need work pass within themselves. I enjoyed reading this book because the characters are easy to like and in the previous book they are introduced so you know a little of their story. Denise Hunter does a great job of mixing fiction writing into lessons that some people may need to hear about fear and how God always has our backs.

What a perfect carry on!

Right, first off let me just say season 1 was brilliant and they couldn't have followed up any better with season 2.

Acting was spot on from every single actor/actress, everyone played their rolls amazingly. This was the perfect carry on with plenty of action, lots of twists and turns and a well thought out ending.

Only one scene bothered me, there is a scene with their dad, he confronted a room full of men by taking off his skin and underneath he was an alien, I mean i get he is curious about the dark side of the moon, but an alien? At what point does this have anything to do with the program. Unless there will be an ending of sorts where you find out he created these beings with gifts in some weird alien way....... We will see, can not wait for season 3!

I'm very intrigued about that too. They showed it then never referred to it again - got to be something weird going on!
