Celine Love is a London-based singer-songwriter from Hamburg. Not too long ago, she released a music video for her debut single, entitled, “Rose Coloured”.

“The music video (directed by Sylvia Hong) explores how that darkness we are shielded from as children were always there. A lot of us may think back to our childhood as perfect when truly we have blocked out the negative we might have seen or experienced. If we do not confront these issues from the past, it can drive you insane.” – Celine Love

‘Rose Coloured’ tells an interesting tale of a happy young girl who wants to use love to erase darkness.

Apparently, her caramel skin differs from her friends’ vanilla skin tone. But she doesn’t see the difference between her and them.
Even though they trust each other, she still has to look at life through a rose-colored filter.

‘Rose Coloured’ contains a relatable storyline, pleasing vocals, and lush instrumentation flavored with contemporary R&B and neo-soul elements.

“The idea behind ‘Rose Coloured’ was to capture memories, moments and situations that describe the blissful ignorance of my childhood. The desire to put a rose-colored filter on everything that is bad in the world. Before racism, insecurities, heartbreak, or stress became part of life. The world is not only on your side but shields you from the negativity.” – Celine Love

“The imagery in ‘Rose Coloured’ is taken directly from my childhood. The song describes both joy and pain in wanting to relive these moments. Not having to confront the real world with all its social pressures and evils. Growing up in Germany there was a time when I saw my skin color as nothing but ‘caramel’, everyone else was simply ‘vanilla’. The chorus goes ‘I wanna live in a fool’s paradise, show me what love is and we can erase all the darkness.’ The music video reflects this inner conflict.” – Celine Love

A few milestones in Celine Love’s young career include a full scholarship to the music school BIMM Berlin & London.

Not too long ago, she performed at the 2000 Trees in Cheltenham, Kings Jam in Gloucester, Deichbrand and Reeperbahn Festival in Germany, and supported the electro-pop band Years & Years in Hamburg for NRJ Radio.

She composes music with expressionism and self-discovery at its core with a hint of socio-critical commentary.

“The imagery within the song is directly taken from my memories. Writing and recording it left me feeling very nostalgic. So I dug out old photos and songs and reached out to my childhood best friend. It reminded me of a pivotal time as a child, before I became aware of the differences in skin color and hair structure. Not only did I look different from most of the German kids surrounding my life but I would be treated differently too. It wasn’t always negative, but always in a way that made me feel excluded. There was a time before I became aware that my skin color was nothing but ‘caramel’ and everyone else was simply ‘vanilla’. Nothing more. ‘Rose Coloured’ is an almost desperate wish to have that mindset back. The wish to live in a ‘fool’s paradise’. – Celine Love

A dark and gritty near future dystopia where a mysterious plague has fallen on mankind, where the slightest contact of bare flesh will cause immediate death for one of those being touched, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to who lives or dies. On top of that, the survivor also then carries around in their head the persona of the person they killed. This can sometimes cause madness in the survivor, but some can coexist with their new passenger. Of course, with no physical skin-to-skin contact possible, sex is off-limits but brothels survive, with watching, no touching, rules in place. Isolation becomes the means of survival, but with that isolation also comes the end of the human race. That is, until two unlikely allies possibly discover the cause of the plague, and possibly a means to undo it.

The Great Divide is definitely not for the lighthearted. This is a very grim look at humanity and what happens when all means of physical contact is stripped away. It is a violent, sexualized dystopia that Ben Fisher and Adam Markiewicz give us, but it is still a story about the resilience of the human spirit.

A classic for a reason
This movie has everything a horror fan could want. Demons, possession, the never-not-scary backward walking down the staircase, and of course, head spinning. This story of a girl possessed and slowly being devoured by a demon is my favorite kind of horror because it doesn't make you scared for a second. It makes you scared for years. The kind of story where you feel like it could really happen so you go home and check your closets, under the beds, and your kids' foreheads for triple sixes.
Compared to what we have now, the visual aspect of the movie is not the cleanest, but that doesn't detract from the awesome makeup and other effects. Reagan's slow descent into hell is reflected in her appearance as her teeth blacken and her skin rots with lesions. She does something in the movie that still makes my skin crawl (crucifix scene, ugh) but that's how I can tell that the movie hit its mark, if I can think on it years later and still get the creeps. This is definitely something to add to your Halloween collection if you haven't already.

2018 was a tremendous year for Tia Gostelow as her debut album Thick Skin was received with incredible warmth all over the globe - including a Triple J album feature, serious global play-listing, sold-out shows, and invitations to perform at music festivals all over the world. Her single Strangers also just clicked over 2 million streams on Spotify.

Tia wrote her debut single State Of Art in 2015 when she was only 16 years old. The song caught the attention of producer Konstantin Kersting and they recorded it together at Airlock Studios in Brisbane - this was the start of a creative relationship that has carried through to the recording process for Thick Skin. Tia describes her new song Get To It as representing a new mindset for her, where she no longer allows fear to hold her back. With a dedicated band behind her, she is ready to write the next chapter in the story of her success, as their songs continue to resonate with fans in Australia, and around the world. Get To It, the latest from Tia Gostelow, is a wistful look back at life, as we look for which memories are worth keeping and which way to go now.

Reading this literally made my skin crawl and stomach churn
I think my heart pounded the entire time I read this book. It's extremely dark, and the level of underlying violence and abuse at times is gratuitous. No doubt it's gripping but you have to keep a strong stomach because it feels like watching a train crash. While it's noticeable by the mid-point that there is something fishy about the protagonist's story, you do want to continue just to find out what happens. I can't say much more without ruining the plot, but hold on to your seat.

This is not your average magic show. Darren Romeo is a really good magician and singer. The illusions are top notch and worth going to see. This is a magic show so there are going to be dancers and assistants that wear outfits that show some skin. Live animals are a part of the show but it isn't an animal act.
I love watching magic in any way I can, live being the best, and I can say that this is a great show. The pop cultural references span the ages well and I have taken my niece there.

This Mummy Needs To Be Put To Final Rest
I would describe this as a nose dive, at the start i was fully on board. I thought this was going to be the first tom cruise film i actually like, and then it go wierd... Boring... and just plain stupid.
The first half was good and fun, scary at times when the zombie outbreak happens...
And i have issues with a skeleton swimming, i feel like it would just sink and not be able to swim without skin to cup the water?

Oh lordy! Although I think I would actually prefer if they had half the film with Tom Cruise as the lead then Brendan Fraser steps in and says "Move aside little kid, I've got this" *stares as the Mummy woman* "I really hate Mummy's" *Shotgun to the face*

That comb-over!
Great cast does a great job with this interesting story of two decent con artists recruited by the FBI to take down even bigger corrupt individuals and the mob.

The script and acting are both excellent and really engage you in the story and get quickly invested in their lives. The 70s fashion and music are also two more interesting characters in the film.

When you look at Christian Bale (who gained 40 pounds for this role), it's hard to believe he's the same actor who played Batman and was in The Machinist where he was skin and bones.

Highly recommended.
