Great lead performance by Carey Mulligan (1 more)
Great cast
Thought provoking Thriller
Just started to hear some hype about this Sky Original film, mainly due to Carey Mulligan's fine performance. A real mix of film genres from dark Rom-Com, Thriller and thought provoking drama. It will be going in one direction and quickly change course. It's entertaining and definitely carries a message a lot of people need to hear. Definitely check it out.

Nice set design (1 more)
Good Cast
Very poor plot (1 more)
Terrible Cgi scenes
One for the Black list
The most recent Sky Original film set at a Black Site facility. Despite a talented cast the plot and story are quite simple. Rather slow and boring to get going for a short film. Almost more Slasher film than action once a character goes on the rampage. The apparent twist was obvious from the start. One to miss.
MelanieTheresa (997 KP) rated Weezer (Teal Album) by Weezer in Music
Jun 18, 2019
I've loved Weezer forever, so I was probably predisposed to love this album. It's an excellent cover album, filled with very loyal covers of some pretty iconic songs. I appreciate the fact that they stayed loyal to the original songs, rather than subjecting us to whatever their interpretation of those songs would be. Absolutely worth a listen.
Best: Africa, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Take On Me, No Scrubs
Meh: Mr. Blue Sky, Billie Jean

A very surreal film
I didn't bother reading any reviews before I watched this Sky Original film. I was impressed by the cast line up and like a noir, mystery film. At least that's what you think you are going to see. It's one of just a handful of films with a surreal twist that will make most people think "are you serious?". Should have just stuck to a normal thriller plot. At least the scenery is nice to look at.
GameCritics (290 KP) rated Elite Dangerous Legendary Edition in Video Games
Aug 11, 2017
The freeform structure and wide variety of roles is impressively liberating. (2 more)
Nuanced but accessible combat controls.
Fun multiplayer options. Decent port from the PC.
very steep learning curve. (1 more)
Earning money at the beginning can get extremely repetitive, as can the mission design, lifeless planets, and identikit space stations.
The pioneering space adventure makes an impressive landing on PlayStation 4, with more content than ever and the promise of even better things to come.

Average Sequel
Well I'm surprised it took 5 years for a follow up to the surprise hit original. This did seem to creep up out of no where. It didn't get a long cinema run so just watched it on Sky.
Set a few years after the events of the original our blindman is now looking after a young child. Something from the past has caught up with him again. This time a group of military trained men attack his home can he outwit them?
Loses the claustrophobic, thriller feeling of the first film for more of an action packed with gory violence tone. Being even more far fetched in plot at times. The action is good and gore effects are decent. Though it does seem odd being on the blindman side this time.
An OK sequel but losing out on the elements that made the first film so good with a different direction and style of film this time.

Bob Mann (459 KP) rated SAS: Red Notice (2021) in Movies
Mar 13, 2021
The script is dire: awful dialogue (1 more)
A truly wasted cast
Psycho vs Psycho: but poorly delivered
Oh my word, SAS: Red Notice is disappointing.
A really interesting cast, and the opportunity to do a mix of "Die Hard", "Daylight" and the finale of "Mission Impossible". And a novel take of 'good psychopath' vs 'bad psychopath'. But it's just so poorly delivered.
True that some of the McNab-guided action scenes feel refreshingly authentic. But the script is clunkingly bad (a discussion with a French girl on top of the train... #shudder) and there are story segues that shock (in a bad way): at one point our hero (Sam Huegen - most recently very good as Paul Newman in "For Olivia") walks out of a French vineyard into a winter wonderland with 6 inches of snow! Did I miss the wardrobe???!
After "Twist" this is yet another dire Sky Original movie, this time with a wasted cast. In particular, BAFTA Rising Star Noel Clarke needs to start making better film choices before getting a reputation for being in duffers.

Dr Dystopian (526 KP) rated Netflix in Apps
Jan 8, 2018 (Updated Jan 8, 2018)
Wide variety of content (3 more)
Netflix original content
Replacement of services like sky
Ease of use
Price increases especially for 4k content (1 more)
Can have a lot of lower quality content at times
Best on demand service in the UK
A great app that is a perfect substitution for main stream cable or satellite services that isgreat for watching what you want when you want and is a fraction of the price without being limited to a single location.
Tonnes to choose from and plenty of Netflix original content that keeps getting better and better.
The only negatives are that there have been some price rises and that in order to have 4k services you have to take the top package which is designed for 4 concurrent users, a 2 user 4k service would have been a nice option.

Bong Mines Entertainment (15 KP) rated Potions (ft. JT Roach) - Single by Slander in Music
Jun 6, 2019
SLANDER (Derek & Scott) is a duo based in Los Angeles and Said the Sky is a native of Colorado. Not too long ago, they released a music video for their emo-dance tune, entitled, “Potions”, featuring indie-folk singer-songwriter JT Roach.
‘Potion’ tells a heartbreaking story of love and loss about a young guy who encounters a female who he desires to be with.
Apparently, he never met anyone quite like her before, and never felt the way that he’s feeling right now. Later, he admits that he would take potions and cross oceans for her love.
‘Potion’ contains a relatable storyline, pleasing vocals, and lush instrumentation flavored with electro-pop and modern dance elements.
SLANDER built a mint name for themselves through jaw-dropping original productions and massive collaborations.
Not too long ago, they added “label heads” to their resume, and turned their popular Gud Vibrations brand into an official record label with NGHTMRE.

Ross (3282 KP) rated Joshua Tree by U2 in Music
Jul 6, 2020
Rolling Stone's 27th greatest album of all time
Far from being a U2 fan, I don't mind admitting this album has some incredible songs on it. However, the tracklisting is all wrong, having (by far) the best 4 songs on one after the other at the start, it is then something of a slog of samey rock staples thereafter. And similarly to Behind Blue Eyes by the Who (I had only ever heard Limp Bizkit's cover), I had only heard Richard Cheese's cover of Bullet The Blue Sky and was pleasantly surprised with the original. For me, U2 went downhill rapidly after this, but this is a brilliant album.
