I can't remember reading any other book that focuses on a main character's transition from human to vampire. I suppose we'll see more of them, now that Stein has done so. The book is a fairly good read, but you should definitely ignore the text on the back, as it's misleading. I assume Becoming is the first of a series, as there was a major issue left unresolved at the end.

This is definitely not a book for romance fans. While there are some explicit sex scenes, there isn't much real romance. I rather liked the omission, but some folks might assume that it is a paranormal romance.

First thing I have to say is the cover really put me off. I expected it to be some sort of paranormal romance, when currently I'm into my Urban Fantasy Romance's, where the romance part doesn't take up most of the story and happens as a sort of product of them being thrown together to fight whatever evil they have to face together. Well, this was more of an Urban Fantasy Romance, thank God.

The world building was very interesting and the Prime's of this world; terrifying. It was like they were missing some integral part of their psyche where they fought killing people who annoyed them was acceptable. But Mad Rogan had some redeemable qualities in the end and I grew to really like him.

I cannot wait to see what happens next with these two.

Amy Adams performs well on the whole - very well cast (2 more)
Some intelligent plot moves and on the whole the premise feels relatively original
Keeps you watching.
Feels a little too moralistic and utopian-wannabe in parts. (2 more)
Some plot holes, especially around the romance angle
Probably need a new spaceship designer!
Interesting premise, but cheesy in places

3.5 stars.

I (think--can't quite remember the first) I liked this more than the first. I read books for the romance aspect as well as a good story and this certainly seemed to focus more on the romance. It had an okay plot. Reapers, Gwen needing to find out who it is, showdown, filler.

We found out a little more about some of the main characters in this one and met some new ones too.

Because I think it can get better still, I will be reading the next one soon.

This series...I really could imagine it as some Sci-fi blockbuster with some hot hunky Hollywood actor as Trey and some cute blonde as Kricket. It could be so epic!

In case you haven't figured I'm in love with this series. It's so good. Non stop action/romance/commeraderie. I pretty much love all the good guys. Kyon, I kinda wanna stab in the eye or something but everyone else ❤

After writing some of the best screenplays of the 90s, including True Romance, Tarantino's directorial debut wasn't seen by most until after Pulp Fiction took over the world. Those who did see it knew right there that QT was something special.

Aww, I really enjoyed this. I thought it was a sweet little romance.

This is probably the first NA book i've read that didn't include rock stars, tattoo's, piercing's or some sort of sport and I like that it's different.
