So loved this when it was on it was one of those shows with a likeable main character who's forced to become a hero and spy while working in a electronics shop. as I'm going to see the film Shazam next week which stars Zach levi as Shazam which is kinda similar to chuck and the fact he played chuck as well helps. I should rewatch again sometime
Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2165 KP) rated Antietam Assassins (Harrison Raines, #6) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Union spy Harrison Raines has returned home, ready to sit the rest of the Civil War out. But it's only August of 1862, and the battle is about to come to his Virginia plantation. Plus there's a murdered minister. Can Harrison figure out what is happening? Ironically, the battle slows down the book over all.

NerdGeek (155 KP) rated Chuck - Season 1 in TV

The world's favorite nerd
I wasn't sure about this show at first, I'll admit. When I first started watching, I thought "great another spy show. Like we don't have enough of those." But Chuck won me over with his awkward nerdy style, that somehow won over the ladies and helped him save the world a time or two. Chuck made nerds cool again.
Tom Turner (388 KP) rated A Murder of Quality in Books

Was disappointed with this. I understand that le Carré was still finding his feet as a writer here. But I felt this was a step down from his first Novel "Call For The Dead". Saying this I know he picks himself up in his next novel to the point where he starts forming his now legendary status as a novelist. So I am looking forward to reading "The Spy Who Came In From The Cold"

Chris Hooker (419 KP) rated Bride of a Bygone War (Beirut Trilogy, #2) in Books
Jan 12, 2018
[Preston Fleming] has quickly become one of my favorite authors. With [Bride of a Bygone War] he hits another home run. The continuing action and intrigue of Beirut in the 1980's is conveyed in a fast paced yet humanistic manner.
Any fan of spy thrillers or the action adventure genre definitely needs to check [Mr. Fleming] out. I will be awaiting the third installment of the [Beirut Trilogy] and any more works by this exciting author.
