Captains Log, Stardate 47634.44, Just finished watching a movie called Please Stand By. It was a very fun and heartwarming flick. Dakota Fanning plays an autistic girl who boldly goes on an adventure towards Paramount Pictures studio to submit her Star Trek script into a writing contest. While the script to this movie lacked the character development and conflict of the supporting cast that would have beamed it up to the next level, it was still a very enjoyable voyage.

I love the Toy Story franchise and don't get me wrong, I loved this movie but I don't believe that it fit in with the rest of them.
As a stand along film, this would be incredible but as a sequel to the other three, it somewhat lacked.
The movie sadly shows little of the other toys (being a Rex fan, I was disappointed) and mainly revolves around Woody and partly Forky. It also shows very little of Andy, I get that he's grown up and no longer requires them but it would have been much better to see Andy give Bonnie the toys.
All being said, I did enjoy the movie and even got emotional at the end... I just think it would have been better as a stand alone movie rather than part of the franchise.

After X-Men origins I was worried when this announced as Deadpool had already been muted by Fox. Although after seeing the test footage and reading an early draft of the script I couldn't have been more excited.

This film does a really good job of introducing the character without a straight up origin story. The film is very short but the fast pace keeps you engaged and the jokes keep coming from the first second to the last.

It's one of the best superhero movies outside the MCU and better than some that are in it.

I was excited to view this film when I first saw a trailer for it. The concept seemed very interesting. Sadly, the execution was a bit off the mark.

I stand by my belief that the actual story is quite good and original. But the amount of time taken between relevant scenes build a story that really doesn't need to be told and ends up mudding things up to a degree that when the movie ends there are more questions than answers.

Acting was good. Visually pleasing. VERY SLOW throughout most of the movie. Give it a go if you have unyielding curiosity, a few extra hours, and a desire to be left wanting.
