A new New Hope
While there are many complaints of the handling of the Jedi path, I found this volume in the STAR WARS saga to be extremely fun, full of the hope the original trilogy inspired, and a lovely way to introduce more characters to root for.

Wish this show would've lasted longer!
The sci-fi craze after Star Wars in 1977 was amazing producing a James Bond film, Battlestar Galactica and the revival of Buck Rogers among countless other crap. This was a great 1970s sci-fi show with good mix of action, comedy and drama and some great guest stars including Jack Palance and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Well worth checking out.

An incredibly well-written story that really feels like what you'd expect from a new Star Wars movie. If you're looking to jump into canon with this book like I did, you might be confused by all of the new characters and alien names. But the story itself is really good and the way it builds the post-Return of the Jedi world is awesome.

The finale of the "original" Star Wars epic trilogy did everything that a finale should aspire to do. It closed gaps, it gave finality to many sub story lines, and it even introduced some new characters that it took the time to develop and make the viewer care about.

Please watch this if you haven't. It should probably be required viewing before leaving high school.

My partner didn't like it because of the humour and language which he thought wasn't faithful to the original Star Wars movies - it was too different for him but I personally thought it was enjoyable and I loved Kylo Ren's character. I just found that Princess Leia scene a bit cringy to watch.... not sure what they tried to do there but it was weird.

Star wars for a new generation
The force awaken opens up star wars for a whole new generation whilst the original trilogy had the world enraputed with this epic adventure series and revolutionized the way we see Sci Fi, Fantasy today Phathom menace, attack of the clones and revenge of the sith, didnt quiet capture the sprirt of the original trilogy. However Force awakens come out swinging.

Not only do we see our old favorites of Han solo Cewbacca Princess now General Leia the new characters leave a force of there own you cant help but admire Rey strength and determination. Fall in love with little BB-8. Finn ability to feel even though hes a storm trooper bring up a whole new level of meaning to established characters from the series.

Ive always like the dark side more than the light as my friendtell me i only ever like assholes so obviously Darth Vader is my favorite star wars character however Kylo Ren is no Darth Vader. However much he may wish to be and although the ending cements his darkness between Vader and Kylo there no choice who i think is the better villian so this film get a 9/10 rather than 10/10

Very engrossing film
I was blown away with this movie, I thought this was the best Star Wars prequel and it's the best out of the very disappointing prequels. The plot to Rogue One is very simple, but it's the characters that really take this movie to new heights. The characters make this movie worth watching, and the droid, K-2S0, was able to bring great sources of humour while still being of use. Felicity Jones did a great job as the female lead, she was tough, rebellious and reckless, making her a well-crafted character that has a great backstory.Though Star Wars creates great protagonists, Rogue One's main antagonist Orson Krennic is definitely up there with the best. Ben Mendelsohn is powerful, able to give you a villain that any Star Wars fan would want. The action was spectacular, with the final climatic fight one of the best in the franchises history. Full of wonder and delight, you never drift your eyes away from the screen, with the special effects and digitally recreating some of the characters of the originals. Darth Vader has little screen-time, but he steals the show. One scene in particular was very special, as we see him in action for the first time in years.

I believe this volume takes place shortly after Episode IV: A New Hope.

After deciding to take a break from the Rebellion and go back to being a smuggler, Han Solo is abruptly pulled back into the Rebellion by Leia with a proposal he finds hard to turn down: a chance to race the Dragon Void run, a prestigious racing competition. Of course, Leia has ulterior motives for needing Han, but all he sees is a chance at the prestige of winning this race. The race itself made me feel a little like this was a galactic version of the Hunger Games, as the race's organizers set up specific obstacles for the racers to avoid (not that this is a race to the death, but I just got the impression of that idea). There was also a little more science fiction than I'm used to with Star Wars, with the inclusion of wormholes and other dimensions, but it worked really well here. Marjorie Liu really had a grasp of the characters and handled them quite well; I had no problem hearing Han's and Leia's voices in my head. Mark Brooks' art is fantastic here and I'm hoping that Marvel utilizes him more frequently on the Star Wars titles. Overall, this is a solid addition to the Marvel portion of the Star Wars universe.
