Good Lord. I came back to this book with the new film approaching rapidly and I couldn't put it down (so to speak). Weber nailed the narration and the story is every bit as frightening and evocative as it was when I was younger. This is Stephen King at his finest, and definitely one that you should just experience for yourself. Whether you've read it on print, seen the 90s TV special, or are seeing the film later this year, picking up this audiobook is still highly recommended.

Stephen King, when asked in an interview, claimed Carrie is the most terrifying story he has ever written and that he will never read it again.

While I don't think Carrie is THAT terrifying, I do feel that it had its moments. Everyone is familiar with the iconic image of a girl standing in the spotlights drenched in pig's blood--but what they don't know about is what comes next. A little bit gruesome and a little bit twisted, psycho nightmare, Carrie is one book that I will never be able to forget.

Meh
Thought I'd watch an older movie I hadn't seen. Got what I expected-some cheesy acting and some mediocre special effects/cinematography. I remember reading the book. Of course it was better but this movie entertained. Not great but ok. It felt more like I was watching an 80s or 90s movie rather than one made in 2006. Thre storyline was a bit odd, but it's Stephen King sp it's expected. Overall though, worth a watch if you haven't seen it. But I won't be watching it again.

I've missed you
Well in many ways this is more of the same as the first film. If anything maybe the scares are a bit better this time round and there is still plenty of humour between the group. My main problem was the pacing, quite slow throughout and it's around 30 minutes longer the first. It definitely didn't feel as intense as the first one. Still it's a well made film and nice to have a cameo from Stephen King.

Not as good as I thought it would be
I was expecting greater things from a movie based on a book from Stephen King and Joe Hill.
Was a really slow start with a lot of shouting, but the acting was great from most of the characters. The middle of the movie picked up a bit and got me interested and then the ending arrived and just confused everything. I can kinda make sense of some of it, but it left too many questions that I don't even want the answers to.

Watched today don't watch that many movies at the cinema based on a Stephen King story think the last one was the second part of it as I read the original short story the movie is based on so I knew what the movie was about anyway the movie I liked it even for a movie that realies on jump scares not on gore which I liked by keeping the creature mostly in the dark helpled alot ramped up the fear factor overall good film hope there's a sequel
