I love Eurogames, and Trajan has many of the components of a strong Eurogame. I find the mancala mechanic very interesting and refreshing. I like how each player has his own board and can work on different strategies to win. It seems like usually players win by focusing on one or two sections of the main game board. I’ve seen people win by using all different combinations of sections, they seem like they can all be used as part of a winning strategy. I appreciate the variety and how the sections seem fairly. I generally dislike games that are so formulaic that a player can find a perfect strategy and use that strategy every time with success. I appreciate the fluidity of Trajan in that way.

A very relaxing walk across Japan with every move scoring points and with a surprising amount of strategy in blocking your opponents. It isn't very deep, but the art is gorgeous and is great for casual relaxing play.

A great game to pass time and dont need thinking just roll the dice and enjoy
It is agreat game for family or groups to play against each other and have some suspense and fun but if you are a person who loves to think and build a strategy and be more intellectual this game will not be your best choice it is just about dice and having a goid luck

Well executed fun
A solid 2 player game to break up those heavier ones. Interesting concept. Takes a few goes to 'get' the strategy then you're flying with it.

This is an easy game to play with very light strategy
It’s simple. You have cards. Each card has two choices. Put a token on one of them and try to make 5 in a row. It’s infinitely better than tick tak toe.
