I was surprised with this one. I'll admit this is one I would have looked over because it's really not the style I like to read. Fortunately a good book samaritan brushed off my snobbish views and told me to just to read it. It's a cute racing story full of heart. I will agree with others it's more geared toward younger readers but, still an enjoyable read. Hop in your bonk racer and pick up a copy for yourself.

A fantastic collection of fairy stories retelling some of the childhood favourites from an LGBTQIA+ pov. The style chosen to write these stories in may not be for everyone but I for one enjoyed their content and their filling of a gap in the inclusiveness of literature generally. As a beginning piece in providing reading material for all, this is a definite plus, but it is also something that needs working on and improving, those coming after will surely be able to improve.

A good all out OTT comic book action blaster. The visual style and SFX are incredibly good, during the surreal "dances". By creating a fantasy world to set out the aims of their objectives to break out of a brutal orphanage, a group of girls become a deadly team taking on anyone and everyone to complete their goal. While the main story might be fairly plain, the action scenes and fantasy dream world are very entertaining. Well worth checking out!

I haven't read many books, if any, that deal with a poison tester, so I found the premise in Poison Study very interesting. The plot, the characters, everything was so well-done and fascinating that I became immersed into the story so much that I didn't notice anything that went on around me. Ms. Snyder has a lovely, uninterrupted, and smooth style of writing that is very easy to read. I can't wait to get to Magic Study next! :)

I've been wanting to watch this movie for a while now, and was sad that I missed it in theaters.
After seeing it, I feel better about missing it. The movie was largely ok, it was funny, and the action was good. But, I did feel like it was so drawn out for the concept. The cast is strong, and I enjoyed the performances, aside from Larson (I'm not a huge fan of her). This film is definitely style over substance.

Depressing
Each chapter of this book is its own story, and all the stories take place in the same subdivision in 1979's Toronto. The writing style was really good. Each story had me hooked, and it didn't take me long to finish the book. Unfortunately I didn't particularly enjoy any of the stories. They were all sad. I do normally enjoy sad stories, but these lacked the redeeming qualities I like. It was all very realistic in the most depressing way possible.

I was surprised to find so many parallels and similarities to the society Wharton describes and our own. I felt like Archer could have been so many of the art "connoiseurs" of today who mistake aesthetic for real love. He also represented a class of "progressives" who use empty rhetoric to alleviate their guilt and improve their image.
Wharton's style and humor is absolutely refreshing. She is realistic and gives no one a free pass which I very much appreciated.

i'm just able to skim this but i like it much better than his original book. there are tons of exercises and not as many quizzes. i guess it helps to know what kind of person you are in the relationship (contemptuous, defensive, etc) and to know your argument style. but with "seven principles" you're given the tools to help your marriage period. it doesn't make much of a difference if you're conciliatory or volatile. i'd recommend this book over the other.

I’m usually a bit hesitant to stray from my favorite authors and this time was no different. However, I’m soo glad I did! You want action, mystery, romance, betrayal? It’s all here. The best part is that it’s all here without the usual angsty cliches normally found in books that are listed as YA. I’m not going to recap the book, you can read the cover yourself. Read the book, read the series, you won’t regret it!!
