Really disliked it.
As a person who has friends that struggle with suicide, this was very hard to watch. Especially the scene when she actually commits suicide. Sure, it raises awareness of how your actions affect others. But I think it the suicide scene was unnecessary and does the opposite of raising awareness of teen suicide. If anything, it glorifies it, showing young and impressionable viewers how it can be done. Not to mention it was predictable and just over the top.

Powerful! It shows how our interactions really affects others.
I don't think this glamorizes suicide. After reading the book, I read some of the reviews that trashed it for that reason. I think it shows one girl's thought process that led her to commit suicide.
I went through the extremely painful process of helping a family pick up the pieces of their shattered lives because of a suicide. What they went through and continue to get through sucks! As the book pointed out, our actions affect others. Suicide affects more than just one person.

Bad for Teens
Some think that this is to defer our youth away from suicide but it seems like the underlying idea is if you're unpopular and unhappy, kill yourself and then you'll be noticed by your peers.

Terrible/dangerous messege about suicide
Pretty damn boring.
Hated almost every minute and sends a terrible message to younger people.

One of the best shows I’ve ever seen and one I’ll show my future children
This show teaches you it’s okay not to be okay. It shows you that life goes on, it shows you how to cope with grief, it enables people to be more sympathetic. This is one of the best, most touching shows I’ve ever seen. As someone with a parent who has tried to commit suicide what I don’t think the shows done has made people idealise suicide if anything it shows people the effects suicide causes.

This was quite hard to watch but highlighted just how easy it is to pick someone so much that they turn to suicide. All those little things add up in the end.
