Hannah
Must watch it
Watched the pilot, uncertain at the start but then it had me hooked. Watched the entire series over 2 days ( bet im not the only 1 lol). I understand what other reviewers have said about glorifying suicide but to be honest, looking at it just as a tv series, i was brilliant. Casting was perfect, especially hannah ( in my opinion, stunning), a must watch for everyone. I so hope they have a 2nd series

Another thrilling page-turner from James. A definite step up in form from the previous instalment, Fire in the Blood. Cullen is this time part of the team investigating the apparent suicide of a young man in West Lothian. As usual, the case expands from there with the body count increasing and the twists and turns, lies and confessions are in abundance.
Other than one or two slightly clunky plot devices (working out someone's identity from their chat board user name) this was a compelling, well-written crime novel.

Harley and joker scenes were great and had lots of potential for it's own storyline (0 more)
Plot was weak and messy. Character development was forced and editing was lazy (0 more)
Messy but a decent popcorn movie
Suicide Squad was a good action movie with a really poor plot and no real character development. What was there was forced and trite. The scenes with the joker and harley were stunning but bizarre and really should have been a movie on it's own. It's okay but not anything I'll watch over again. Meh

When Emma is invited to lunch by an old acquaintance, she is shocked. The woman is being haunted by her late husband and wants Emma to make him go away. But when Emma finds out the woman's daughter has tried to commit suicide, she thinks something much bigger may be going on. I loved this book and always had a hard time putting it down. Highly recommended.

I received a copy of Murder From Scratch from Netgalley and the publisher.

I really enjoyed this book. My main issue is that all the food talk made me so hungry and as "issues" go that's not bad at all!

I really appreciate the writing of Evelyn. She's actually written as an adult with interests and not as a tall child who brings light to able-bodied folx.

I liked the mystery a lot. The way it was set up as an "obvious" suicide but a family member knows what's up? Definitely my thing!

This is the quintessential book about Ted Bundy, written by a former co-worker and friend. Ann Rule worked one of the later shifts at a suicide hotline, next to Ted. Rule was working with the police and everything to try to crack the Bundy murder cases. The book covers the motivation/what caused this to happen, i.e., an interesting childhood, rejection by women, etc. She was reserving judgment and thought of him as innocent for a while, which is very interesting to read about.
This is definitely a true crime book worth reading.
