I received a free copy of this book via Clean Teen Publishing Elite Reviewers which I am a member of. I made no guarantee of a favorable review.
If you are looking to read a book that will creep you out then look no further because this one will do just that. There's even a scene in the story that had me quickly getting out of the bathtub and I LOVED it!!!
This is horror and supernatural at its extreme best. The author's unique and creative story telling ensnares you from the very beginning and the heart pounding scares will keep you glued to the book until the outstanding end. I hope the movie version does this book justice. I can't wait to read more books written by this extremely talented writer.

Very Well Written and Suspenseful (spoilers)
Contains spoilers, click to show
Jordan Peele wrote a decent supernatural thriller with Get Out. The tension was good and the story unfolded well. My first problem is that the "big reveal" was semi-predictable with the clues they were giving us, not to mention that it reminded me too much of another film (Skeleton Key). It was easy to see from start that the girlfriend was involved in the "trap", if you will, and I spent the second half of the movie praying for her demise and a hopefully violent end to the "Macaulay Culkin on crack" looking douche. The very last few minutes of the movie (the pictures) were probably the only part of the film that had any shock value to the story.

Monsters and Man pain
Supernatural for me is really hard to rate because personally, I break it up into two:
Season 1-5 are pure just amazing the monsters of the week are all just as interesting as the main plot that starts to build-up near the end of season 1. The writers found such an amazing balance between myths and character development that you just get hooked so fast and they stay so strong for five season which is pretty hard to do in my opinion.
Now season 6 - current is an entirely different story while not completely terrible and some of the seasons being pretty good as a whole I feel like they really lost their footing after season 5 and just never really recovered all the way.

A beautiful story of the Thames
It’s really hard to read through tears, you know. And that’s just what I had to do through the last chapters of this book. This book held my attention throughout. Its beautifully, lyrically written - it has a real feel of the fairytale and supernatural about it (Quietly, the Ferryman), set alongside the practical and realistic (Rita, the nurse/ midwife).
This is a story that follows several characters who come together because of a drowned child who comes back to life. The fantastical runs alongside the everyday, and the Thames runs alongside all of it.
I loved this book, it’s gentle pace (like the Thames on a good day, perhaps!), and the people who populated its pages. It really is a gorgeous book and well worth reading.

This was surprisingly good. Since I wasn't the biggest fan of Shiver from the Wolves of Mercy Falls series, I wasn't sure how I would like this book. I really enjoyed it. Thank you to all of my tumblr friends who kept recommending this to me so that I would actually read it. I had been putting it off for about a year and a half.
The plot line was very well paced. Though the chapters were narrated by different characters (something I don't always like) it was clear as to who was speaking. The characters were interesting and fun. I loved the growing relationships between the boys and Blue. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys supernatural novels with mystery and a crap ton of psychic magic. Great job Ms. Stiefvater!

Have just (well a few weeks ago) found this on Amazon Prime and remember watching the first series many years ago on TV but not being able to watch any more due to it going onto Sky. Currently working my way through all the episodes and yes it is quite outdated these days but still just as full of supernatural beings and the trouble they cause. It can be a bit gory in places but still worth watching. Not sure how they string it out to several series but we will see when I get further on. My son has never watched it but had heard of the Winchester Brothers (the main characters) as they have a huge fan base amongst teenage girls and his friends don't stop talking about them.
