As an insomniac, I struggle with finding ways to entertain myself for hours... enter my new now tv subscription. And discovering Strike Back. I am not exactly watching them in the intended seasonal order.

Strike Back (season 5) Legacy is a ten part high octane fuelled, action packed explosive drama series, featuring some very familiar faces, some bad language and lots of guns.

This season sees Stonebridge, Scott and the team go through some highs and lows travelling the world from Thailand to North Korea and then Switzerland and the US. They take on a number of bad guys, in completely impossible situations bring some sex and comedy to the mix. It’s hard not to like these two and their antics. Expect some loss, heartache and heroics.

If you are after all out action, easy to follow story lines and basic entertainment, this is the show for you

Way better than the motion picture that came before it one of the best from the original crew. taking Khan from the episode space seed and expanding it into a movie and it works ricardo montalban is perfect as Khan reprising the role from the TV show. One problem just a small one but there's a slight continuity mistake between checkov and Khan but I will let it go thumbs up updated review watched at my local cineworld and boy it looks amazing for a film that’s 40 years old the restoration work done transferring it to 4k is nothing but amazing even James horners score sounds just as good as it did 40 years ago still in my opinion one of the best Star Trek made just a shame it took so long to see it at the cinema

Book Rating
I started reading this as a result of the ads for the upcoming adaptation on Fox, which made it look somewhat cheesy, but intriguingly weird. I was right about the central plot being weird, but luckily, the book is not really cheesy. While on a mission to locate 2 missing Secret Service agents, Ethan Burke finds himself stranded in the mysterious town of Wayward Pines after a car accident which killed his partner. His identification, money and phone are all missing and while the town seems outwardly idyllic, there is something pretty clearly off about it. As Ethan tries to figure out what is happening to him, things get progressively stranger, until he finds himself in a fight for his life. Things get surprisingly creepy and the ending provides a pretty big, and wholly unexpected, explanation for what is going on. While the author claims inspiration from TV show "Twin Peaks", and there is evidence as such, I found it read like one of Stephen King's more sprawling works, but condensed down to its core focus and with a more satisfying conclusion than he often comes up with. I still think the show looks likely to be sort of cheesy, but the book is anything but, and I highly recommend it to fans of suspense, horror or sci-fi.
