I finally watched Coco, after much prodding from my teen daughter. I honestly thought this movie would be really stupid, and the trailers did not catch my interest. So I finally let the kids talk me into watching this for our movie night (spearheaded by the teen daughter that loves this movie). I was so wrong about this movie- while it had its dry points, it was overall a great one. This is a great way to introduce The Day of the Dead, and could be helpful for children experiencing a death in the family/close friend to understand that those we lose still live on in our memories and should still be celebrated. If you haven't seen it yet, make the time to watch Coco.

This is a really good paranormal read full of action and many twists and turns. A great beginning for a new series.

I love the cover but unfortunately this read simply just wasn't for me. I didn't find myself caught up in the story nor did I find the characters to be interesting.

This novella could serve as an excellent taste of the Elantra series if a reader didn't want to commit to something as long as one of the novels, as it occurs before the series begins, when Kaylin is a teen, It is the tale of her first days with the Hawks, and it is wonderful. I really enjoyed it.

The first in a Christian mystery trilogy, Nick returns to Charleston to face the mysteries of his past, specifically his mother's disappearance when he was a pre-teen. A gripping story that dragged just slightly in the middle.

80's classic
A memorable 80's film with one of Tom Cruise's early leading roles. No doubt inspired many other films. It's very similar in feel to @Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986) with a teen going wild while the parents away, taking the Porshe for a spin all to a 80's soundtrack.

My FAVORITE book
Fantasy meets punk in this coming of age story about a teen who has traveled to Bordertown, a place where magic is real and technology is spotty at best. He makes friends with a ragtag group of humans, elves, and halfies. I've read this book 3 or 4 times and it never gets old.

This is a pretty good teen drama. I was hoping for something a bit like Mean girls, but this doesn't reach that level and doesn't have the dark humour that has. Still it's an ok film to watch with plenty of energy all the way through. It was a bit predictable but I still enjoyed it.

Everything I Could Hope For
As someone who grew up watching the beloved cartoon, Teen Titans, as well as an avid reader of the comic series, Titans and Teen Titans, a lot was riding against this TV show. However, I was truly surprised by how much I loved this series from the first episode. I've always adored the DC universe for their dark plotlines and backstories they give to the characters. I was thankful to see that they carried this same darkness into this television show. This paired with the talented way they showed the growth of the characters throughout the season was all done beautifully. I could not have possibly asked for more and look forward to the second season!

Teen Titans Go! To the Movies (2018)
Teen Titans Go! To the Movies (2018)

I love Teen Titan's Go! The TV series is so fun to watch, it feel like it's the Deadpool of the DC Universe, happy to take the piss out of itself and doesn't take itself massively seriously either. It was going to be a fairly safe bet that I'd enjoy this one.

It felt a little Robin heavy to me though, and a lot less Teen Titans than I'd hoped for. During their musical numbers I found it a little loud and hard to hear compared to the rest of the film, but you could still follow everything. The credit scene also felt a little odd, unless you know the other version of Teen Titans it would make absolutely no sense.

Even with that is was very enjoyable. Toe tapping, funny with humour across the range, including the classic fart joke and a series in-joke about waffles. I enjoyed the extended universe references, and the MCU references... with an amusing Stan Lee cameo which does leave you going "There's the Stan Lee cameo! ... Wait... this is DC!?" Apart from the regular voice actors you've got some great cameos in there too which, to the older generation in the audience, added some bonus amusement
