This film failed to keep my interest as it was just not that exciting. It was described as a horror but this is a huge exaggeration! The four teenagers get locked away in a bunker, from there follows a couple of the characters' explanations of what happened whilst in there. It is quite straightforward and is spelled out for you so you aren't left wondering at the end of the film.

Plenty of gore thumbs up.

"I loved the book. I’m probably one of those readers who judges movie adaptations far too harshly, but I was very excited to see the movie and when it came out, not disappointed at all. So incredible. I loved Logan Lerman, and Ezra and Emma as well. The cinematography, the acting, everything was just spectacular. A special film, especially to teenagers growing up in this world and finding out completely who you are."

This book is over 300 pages but the writing is awesome so you won't mind! The book is well written and you will adore the characters. This book is unlike anything I have ever read. It is about teenagers playing MMORPG, lightening strikes and they wind up in the game. It is full of adventure, and twists and turns. I can't wait for book 2. I am giving a voluntary, honest review of an ARC from NetGalley.

Worth a watch
I know some people may be put off think this is only for teenagers, however this dark and thrilling drama is suitable for adults of all ages. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the show, and binged it in a few days. It had a few twists and the plot didn’t always go where you expected it to go. I am excited at the prospect of a second season.

A solid debut packed with indie rock thrills...
The debut album from Irish four-piece The Academic is brimming with energy and potential. The band, singer Craig Fitzgerald, drummer Dean Gavin, and brothers Matt and Stephen Murtagh, guitar and bass respectively, have been building up a following across the Irish Sea since forming as teenagers in 2013.

Matthew Krueger (10051 KP) rated Friday the 13th (1980) in Movies

Friday the 13th (1980)

Sleepaway Camp 1980
Since its Friday the 13th today, im going to review the oringal Friday the 13th film. The one that started it all. The one that started the franchise. This one started teenagers being teenagers. The one without Jason as the villian, wait what? I think everyone knows by now that Jason is not the villian in this one and its Jason's Mom, so i dont think thats a spoil, because most to everyone knows that by now.

The Plot: Crystal Lake's history of murder doesn't deter counselors from setting up a summer camp in the woodsy area. Superstitious locals warn against it, but the fresh-faced young people -- Jack (Kevin Bacon), Alice (Adrienne King), Bill (Harry Crosby), Marcie (Jeannine Taylor) and Ned (Mark Nelson) -- pay little heed to the old-timers. Then they find themselves stalked by a brutal killer. As they're slashed, shot and stabbed, the counselors struggle to stay alive against a merciless opponent.

Its suspenseful, horrorfying, terrorfying, love the kills in this one and overall a fantastic phenomenal classic movie.

A lot of representation. (1 more)
Georgia's character is very interesting
Representation of minors in the show is a little bit off tbh (0 more)
I enjoyed it a lot.
The show in itself is a very fun watch, The adult characters are interesting, their backstories are gripping, they are relatable in many ways... and yet, somehow, they got the representation of teenagers very wrong. Ginny acts unlike any fifteen year old I have ever met.

I understand though that as a piece of fiction, it does not always have to be realistic nor does it ever state that it is. I just think that the teenagers in this show are not only annoying as all hell, they act like pretentious adults.

In my opinion the best character is Georgia. Knowing what we know by the end of the show all the mysterious puzzle pieces about Georgia's past and her present fall in place and it all makes a ton more sense.

I would recommend this show to people who like mysteries, purely because this show is drenched in mystery. I think it's worth a try,

I haven't read the book so I can't compare to that. It's a well made film with a big production and talented cast. Tiny bit surprised at being a 12a rating, it's basically teenagers fighting to the death by killing each other off! Also a theme similar to many films, @Insurgent (2015) Battle Royale, @The Condemned (2007) . So not that original but decent enough to check it out.

Sequal as good as the original
Nazarian’s sequal to Qualify is a fascinating look at a journey through space for the teenagers who qualified to escape Earth and travel to Atlantis. The novel provides more character development for the mysterious prince of Atlantis. The writings ebbs and flows with the excitement of special events and the monotony of space, which is appropriate for the setting. The world of the spaceship the characters are in is well fleshed out and unique.
