I didn't finish this book because there was no plot. The first hour and a half of the book, I was still just barely understanding the world. And if the first hour and a half is just character development and world building, I’m sorry, but you’re not a story teller, you’re a world builder. It was a brilliant world, don’t get me wrong. But the only thing that happened in the first hour and a half was she got ice cream and then went outside, saw some boys, and went back inside.

this is a deep dark mystery with added hot steamy scenes to keep you reading long into the night. The hot chemistry will set the pages alight as you read them. This is the second book in the series and can be read as a stand alone. This author is a fab story teller with an amazing writing style. This is a fast paced, very hot and steamy, suspenseful read you wont want to put down. I cant wait to read more from this author in the future.

Highly recommended

So, one night a gypsy fortune-teller(snerk) is super-bored and decides to tell one of her customers that he is a vampire(as you do) and will have to find his true love to have eternal happiness.

Enter our heroine. Darcy is being dropped off by her harridan mother because her honeymoon is more important than her kid and OOPS! her aunt is gone because she's a money-obsessed jerkface.

The only problem I have with this book is it's predictability. If I gave you a description of the characters, you'd know right away which one is the killer.

Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)
2018 | Adventure, Family, Fantasy, Mystery
This second installment of the Fantastic Beasts franchise is a great follow up to the outstanding first film that we had. JK Rowling has created this immense world that the whole world has fallen in love with and this film proves that even more. Crimes Of Grindelwald was a great and enjoyable film. This film, in my opinion, is the story teller of the franchise. This film is introducing more and more characters and the stories behind them so the viewers can get more insight into the magical world. Overall its a great film that makes you want the third film more and more everytime you watch it.

"This is about what a music student who really wants to be great has to sacrifice to pursue greatness. It reminded me a little of my own experience at university, and how there’s such a difference between studying music, which is quite sterile, and then actually going out and doing it. You have to unlearn everything and just try to be honest, using your instrument to speak in a way that people can understand. Andrew’s (Miles Teller) relationship with his music teacher in the film is very extreme, but I had music teachers at school who I felt really passionate about and who I wanted to get better for, so they would believe in me."

The Last Temptation of Christ (1988)
The Last Temptation of Christ (1988)
1988 | Drama

"Okay, I will pick a film with Bowie in it. [laughs] I’m going to say The Last Temptation of Christ, where he plays Pilate. All the Romans are English, and all the Jews are American. [laughs] I think it’s just a perfect piece of filmmaking. It’s brave and it’s imaginative and it’s about the most kind of profound things, and yet it’s very human. And the music — Peter Gabriel’s soundtrack is incredible. Again, every time I watch it… it’s the same with a lot of Scorsese’s films — as soon as you turn the channel and come across one, no matter how many times you’ve seen it, you sort of can’t stop watching it, because he’s a master story teller. That’s my five for today."

Incredible true story (4 more)
Eckhart & Teller are brilliant in the lead performances
The supporting cast are great too
Tight script
Good direction
One Of The Most Remarkable Comebacks In History
If this movie wasn't based in true events, it would be ridiculed for being too far fetched. Don't get me wrong, I am sure that, (as is with the case with all movies based on a 'true' story,) some aspects of the film have been exaggerated for dramatic purposes, but even still, this is an incredible story about triumph over adversity.
The cast are all great, Miles Teller at this point is up there with Christian Bale and Jake Gyllenhaal as a young character actor at the top of his game in my eyes. He is fantastic as Pazienza and does a brilliant job conveying the pain and tragedy that Vinnie faced and the 'nothing will stop me,' attitude that Vinnie possessed. Aaron Eckhart goes from Hollywood heart-throb, to past his prime shlub in this role and he sells it convincingly, he truly is one of the most underrated character actors working today in my opinion.
The rest of the ensemble cast are great. The production is also of an immensely high quality, the sets, sound design and abrupt editing all make up an equally grim and glamorous world that feels realistic and lived in.
Overall this film is definitely worth a watch, whether you are a boxing fan or not, it is a hugely inspirational story that has been brought to life masterfully and is a story that should be witnessed by everybody.

*This is a re-read for me, but my first review of the books*

A stellar novel of angst, suspense, blood sucking and romance when you least expect!

J.R. Ward is a phenomenal story teller. She pulled me from page one, and held me captive with Wrath's angst and pain, and with Mary's confusion and love. These characters weren't just created....they were molded into beautiful creatures of the night, and woven into the story line in just the right way.

This story of pain, unexpected love, sorrow and confusion is one that will sit with the reader long after the last page is turn. The Brotherhood is family now, and I look forward to continuing the journeys of each Brother's love story.

Definitely recommended with the highest of 5 stars!

Makes you question life
Is fate entirely inexorable?
The Gold siblings, having gone to see a fortune teller who tells them the date they will each die attempt to A.) Forget, B.) Live life to the fullest beforw the inevitable or C.) Find a way to change it.

This book made me think, hard about what my life is leading up to. It made me wonder if that niggling fear of death and my attempts to avoid it were all in vain. It also gave me an appreciation for how I have lived my life thus far. This novel is beautiful and heart rending while somehow, in the end, giving hope that while we may just be along for the ride, life can be beautiful and worth the heartbreak.

I read a lot of fairy tails as a kid, but never have I read one this profound and unique: an ugly princess, a helpful dragon, a gifted farm-hand, a crazy story-teller, and an evil god trapped in the stones of an ever-changing castle. The language was beautiful and fluid and enchanting, the characters were all unique and special, and the plot itself had me sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time. I never wanted it to end but I was so happy with the conclusion. On top of it all, the audio-book was wonderfully read, full of character and voice, and Simon Vance nailed the personalities of the characters. I have no doubt I will re-read this book eventually, and I am adding Barnhill to my Author Watch list.
