There are several accidents in San Francisco that Monk decides are murders. Meanwhile, Dale the Whale is out of prison for an operation. Is he going to try to escape? And will that distract Monk from the other case? For those who have been following the books, this is a great pay off for the arcs that Lee has been building. I loved seeing where the characters wound up and am interested to see how the next author will pick up from here.

Lady Georgie is looking to escape her family castle and lands herself a position helping with a Christmas house party. But amidst the old fashioned Christmas, she finds the members of the village dying off one by one. Is there a pattern to the deaths, or are they the tragic accidents they appear to be? I made a connection early on that Georgie missed, but once she made it the book took off and never quite let go. I really enjoyed this one.

Some secret won't remain buried....because you need to bury them.
A mother and her four kids emigrate from the United Kingdom to America to escape her evil husband. Sadly the mother dies shortly after moving and the kids fend for themselves, keeping it secret she's gone.

The father finds them, but they fend him off....but a ghost seems to be bothering them.

It was an interesting movie to watch and I have to admit I didn't see the twist coming....I think the tagline was quite misleading though.

"Pier Paolo Pasolini’s affection and compassion for Rome’s cafoni, or peasant, class shines through in what is perhaps the most accessible of all his films. Anna Magnani plays an ex-hooker trying to escape her past while raising her troubled teenage son. Pasolini sets Magnani loose as the indomitable salt-of-the-earth mother. Her range of emotion and expression is unbridled, exuberant, and overflowing—a force of nature. Pay attention to the wedding scene and you’ll see Pasolini’s love of Renaissance art on display as he re-creates Da Vinci’s Last Supper, casting the denizens of Rome’s slums as the apostles."
