You have to be a real man to wear tights!
Cary Elwes stars a robin hood in this comical retelling of the legendary hero who after returning to England after fighting in the crusades and then being captured, enslaved only to escape from prison in Jerusalem and seim home to England (what a guy ;) ) to find that the evil Prince John (Richard Lewis) has confiscated his family estate and is following the script and ruining Nottingham. Robin enlists his family's loyal blind servant Blinkin (Mark Blankfield), Will Scarlett O'Hara (Matthew Porretta) and Little John (Eric Allan Kramer) to help rebel. Robin also hopes to woo the beautiful Maid Marian (Amy Yasbeck), but her chastity belt may prove a challenge (and her keeper)

Great jokes, Mel Brooks, hilarious performances, subtle nods and a robin hood who can speak with an England accent.

A classic spoof on the legend who had it coming.

I really enjoyed this multi-generational family novel, full of badly behaved grans, teenaged girls and dads. In fact, not many of the characters are behaving well in Good Eggs. But that’s what makes it so much fun. There are a lot of laugh out loud moments in this - so beware of where you’re reading it!
Some of the exploits seem a little far fetched, but the comedy value more than makes up for that, and this is a great book to escape from reality with. Grandma Millie would be enough entertainment on her own.she’s a kleptomaniac who drives a very much abused Renault, who says what she thinks and doesn’t worry about the consequences.
I don’t want to give too much away, but I really did enjoy this - it’s great, crazy and full of heart.

In the seventh short story anthology from the Chesapeake Chapter of Sisters in Crime, each story revolves around an invitation. Some are the obvious invitations for events, but others are a more casual invitation. Either way, they lead to danger of some kind. There’s a mother whose young son is writing a hard-boiled mystery, an escape room that ends in death, a guest who overstays her welcome, bedbugs and murder in London, and a debutant ball in early 1900’s South Carolina. The stories are as varied as their locations, and many are fun. As with every short story collection, not every story will be for every taste. Personally, I found a couple of them too dark to be enjoyable. But the majority of the seventeen stories were a delight. If you are searching for bite sized stories, you’ll be glad you picked up this collection.

I am a huge fan of Poe DAMron because of Oscar Isaac. He was also one of my favorite new additions to the Star Wars universe. We were first semi-introduced to Poe in @Star Wars: Shattered Empire . This book picks up when Poe is around 16, trying to escape Yavin IV because he doesn't want to lead a boring life or be a farmer.

My main issue is the timing of the release, this should have been released as part of the 'Journey to Rise of Skywalker'. It would have really added context to Poe and Zorii's relationship. It was a huge misstep in my opinion.

The story itself isn't bad, it's a Star Wars book, and I've read some stinkers in new canon (cough cough, I'm looking at you, @Star Wars: Queen's Shadow ). It was more predictable than most, and would have been useful prior to the release of Rise of Skywalker.
