A decent follow up but doesn't match the first series
This is a decent follow up to the first season but it just doesn't quite match up. The story is still great and so are the characters but there was something missing from this season. It's great to get resolution to some stories carried over from season 1 and there's more questions thrown up by the introduction of other Sense8s, which creates a much deeper world that's begging to be explored.

While it might not be up to the standards of the first season there was no reason for Netflix not to renew the contract, I'm pretty sure a third season would've been able to wrap up everything nicely and satisfyingly. Thankfully, the fans came out in force and Netflix and the Wachowski's have managed to negotiate a feature length episode to finish the story. Hopefully it'll be the story Sense8 deserves

An engaging second season

The second season of The Walking Dead gets a bad wrap at times. Upon many a half drunken discussion in the pub about various nerdy franchises, TWD always crops up, and people always seem to mention season 2 as a weak season. (Usually people who are yet to watch seasons 7-8...)

I am extremely fond of this season. It's fairly slow but that's really not a bad thing. It devotes a lot of time to fleshing out the ensemble cast, and concentrates a lot on internal conflicts within the group.

The series starts with one of the children, Sophia, going missing after a zombie horde shuffles towards our heroes as they hide in a freeway under cars (a classic tense TWD scene).
Sophia, understandably scared, decides to run instead of hide, and the group sets off to find her. During their search, Rick's young son Carl is accidentally shot, and the group find medical help at a nearby farm.
And said farm is where the rest of the season takes place.

We're introduced in this season to fan favourites such as Hershel (literally my favourite TWD character of all time), Maggie, and Beth, adding some great characters to an already strong cast.
The conflict between Rick and Shane comes to a head as the season progresses, resulting in some really tense scenes.

The mid point of season 2 contains one of the best scenes to ever grace TWD. As the suspect barn at the bottom on Hershels farm is opened against his will, and well, the end of the episode contains a revelation that gave me goosebumps. For a show about zombies, it's really powerful television at times.

The finale is predictable zombie chaos, but it's a lot of gory fun, and leaves you hankering for season 3, even if we lose a couple of great characters along the way.

*SEASON 1* An incredible piece of TV.This has the lot, beautiful photography,a mind bending storyline and some amazing atmospheric music.

Set in a small German town with a child has gone missing you think that this is just going to be another mystery or drama show that deals with said child I promise you it's not. There are other weird things going on in this town and nearly every person in it has a secret or something to hide.

This show is something special.Looking forward to starting season 2 ASAP.

When I was a kid, I could handle just about anything Star Wars and this show was no exception. It expanded on the universe of Star Wars by showing R2-D2 and C-3PO with other "masters" and other adventures they had.
Unfortunately, I don't believe the full season was ever released on DVD other than the "Best Of" which is still entertaining, but missing some episodes.
My 13-year-old self just loved it.

High Altitude Homicide
It’s murder and mayhem in the mountains in this collection of nine short stories. We get mountains from all over the world and stories set in every season, not just ski season. From a deadly hike or two to a hot chocolate contest with a dead body, there is plenty to keep you entertained.

Each story is from a different author, and each story is fun. A couple are filled with enough other things going on that the mysteries are short changed, but those are the exceptions. Many of these characters have appeared elsewhere, but that doesn’t truly matter as each story introduces you to the characters. These stories are on the long side for short stories; they averaged about 45 minutes each for me to read, so there is plenty here to keep you entertained. If you are missing a mountain vacation, this collection is perfect for you. Personally, I’m going to stay home where it is safe and pick up another book.

A creepy thriller, well worth the watch!
23 years ago Carys Howell goes missing from a small Welsh village. The case is never solved. After the sudden and horrific death of her mother, Matilda Gray, celebrity cello player, finds herself drawn to the village and the case. Followed by close friend Hal, who has clear but unreciprocated feelings towards Matilda, she slowly begins to unravel the events around the case. What Matilda finds leads her into the world of the dark supernatural.

I found the story engaging and compelling and I really cared about the main characters- particularly Matilda and Hal. The supernatural scenes were creepy and a little jumpy at times.

There were a few issues that I had with the series, firstly some of the twists were a little predictable , but this is offset by the twists that were unexpected. My primary gripe with the series is that the ending left me wanting- it was missing that fulfilling ending that I was craving. I would have preferred an additional episode that covered the ‘black outs’, instead it was almost as if the writers had put so much into the rest of the series, that they got to the last thirty minutes and rushed it, missing out the meat.

The series does set itself up nicely for a season 2, but neither the BBC or Netflix have confirmed a renewal (both have a stake in the series). Despite the weak ending, I do hope that there is a sequel, as I believe it will be much darker and creepier.

Before I start, just wanna point out that because of this show, to me every bad thing is now diabolical and said like karl urban...

Season 1 has come and gone and what a season it was, Karl Urban plays a badass anti hero-loving crusader of sorts whose probably in need of some anger management who reunites with his old team who seemingly left their friendship a little salty to say the least.

After managing to capture a "Hero" and a member of the 7 (team of hero's), butcher (urban) is after answers as to what happened to his missing wife 8 year's ago after she was sexually assaulted by another hero and the leader of the 7!
Things take a humorous, dark and violent twist with every move.
In a world where Superheroes are often as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and sometimes even as revered as gods. But that's when they're using their powers for good. What happens when the heroes go rogue and start abusing their powers? When it's the powerless against the super powerful, the Boys head out on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the Seven and Vought, the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets.

Based on the comic book series of the same name

I usually wait until the end of a season to post about a show I've watched, but after just the first episode of Lovecraft Country I had to make sure everyone knows about this new show. From the opening scene I was sucked in with the force of an alien's tentacle. While hitchhikers may have a guide to the galaxy, in 1950's America a guide had to be written letting traveling black people know where it was safe to travel and stop during said travels. While writing the guide and also searching for a missing family member, the main characters played by the amazing talents of Jonathan Majors, Courtney B. Vance, and the oh so beautiful Jurnee Smollett are having to battle two evils, alien creatures and racist white men.

Better than the critics would have you believe
Kyra Sedgwick plays a workaholic mum who is working the night her daughter goes missing. Her performance is one of the high spots as her life unravels around her and she doesn't know who to trust reminds me a bit of Claire Danes performance in the first season of Homeland.

There are some plot holes but not enough to ruin the series and the twists and turns in the story keep you wanting to watch the next episode.

Who can she trust, who is helping her and who is against her are all things that crop up in this series where every episode is a different day with some parts told in flashback.

Recommended, even if the critics didn't particularly like it
