Let me say this book definitely surpassed all my expectations!!
I know we've all been there... that isle of books at the store with the Harlequin titles trying to decide if we want another feel good, know how its gonna end type of story. LET me advise you. This book IS NOT your typical Love Inspired book (of which I will admit to reading ... almost everyone published). I had to do a double check of the page count with this one honestly. Toni Shiloh managed to fit SO much depth of character, layered background, and faith based elements that I was enamored of the book from the beginning and scratching my head wondering how something so marvelous could come out of such a tiny package!
I loved the plot, a true friends-to-lovers/ girl-next-door/ marriage of convenience story that I have.. uhem already reread. I loved Omar's little ones that Toni Shiloh filled with life and love. Plus, I really enjoyed the circumstance that Toni Shiloh put Trinity and Omar into! Great chemistry and awkwardness between the two of them.
Overall, one of my favorite reads ever in terms of modern character development and storyline. A definite 5 star read you DO NOT want to miss!

First things first, WHEN DOES THE NEXT BOOK COME OUT KRISTEN YOUNG?
What an intense pull you in from the beginning type of book this is! I totally did not want to put this book down, I loved Flick’s dialogue and narration of the story, her interactions with the people around her, and her subtle descriptions of everyday life. They were conveyed in such a way that I looked up from the book expecting myself to have on a white jumper and see everyone else wearing one too! A truly great descriptive use of words in this book that make it come to life. The Love Collective is fascinating to try and understand (and I am looking forward to learning more about them in the next book), at first it was kind of confusing but in a good way as my brain was trying to figure out everything right along with Flick.
Very few books I read can make me mentally think about what is going on in the storyline but this one kept that part of my brain engaged the whole way. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a clean sci-fi/ dystopian type of book! 5 out of 5 stars.

I LOVE this cover!! Don’t you? It is what made me stop and look at the description! …. And I was hooked. I had never read anything by Angela K. Couch, but I enjoy finding new authors.
I so enjoyed the way Angela K. Couch described the characters and their surroundings, it was vividly done and was very well researched. I loved Towan, he is a total dream-worthy guy. Towan displayed courage, patience, and an overabundance of forgiveness. All the while struggling with knowing who he is and whom God wants him to be. Christiana was interesting…. I think she showed courage, and strength in the face of her situation, but I was baffled by some of her choices in life (probably just because they are so far from what I’d make in her situation).
Overall, I really enjoyed the plot/setting of the book and thought that it was well researched, and everything seemed to fit the timeline. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars for the great descriptions of characters and their surroundings. The prominent aspect of finding out whom God wants you to be and having courage no matter what may come your way.

I loved this sweet story!
Out of the Embers was like traveling back in time to a place where it feels like home. Amanda Cabot did a great job describing the historical period, from the way the characters dressed, their mode of transportation, to the way the characters spoke and acted. It was like being right there with the characters. I think that the story flowed very well due in part to the historical accuracy of it.
I particularly liked the main character, Evelyn. She reminded me so much of someone who has an “old soul” and an encouraging word for everyone. I truly liked her character. Wyatt, Evelyn’s male counterpart, was also a uniquely caring and intuitive guy. All the other characters in this story helped make it come to life and left me with anticipation to read their stories as well.
I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars for the great characters, the stunning backdrop, and the lighthearted feel through most of the story. I recommend reading this book, and I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out.

I think I can safely say that I am a fan of Mr Wright's tales; they take me back to my teenage years when I read anything and everything that was described as horror or creepy and even now, in my 50's, I still enjoy a story "from the dark side"!
This is a good, short, quick read that has great characters and a great story however, I don't think the blurb makes much sense when you read the book - it doesn't seem to bear any relation to the actual story and the only think I can think of is there are more to come ... which is great but a tad confusing.
The story is actually about 2 teenagers who, on escaping some bullies, find themselves stumbling upon a ruined house in the middle of a wood; what they find there defies belief but no-one sees what they do so they decide to sort it out themselves which devastating consequences.
This is a good start to, hopefully, a new series where we will get to learn what the "Cursed Manuscripts" are all about.
My eternal thanks go to the author who provided a copy to me to read and review, this is no way influenced my thoughts on this book and it is is unbiased and unedited.

This story is told from multiple perspectives, sharing the lives of very different but interesting characters. The main character of this book would be Peter, a regular guy, who doesn’t really have many goals in life. He kind of goes with the flow, until he receives an item, that he didn’t want. There is this cloud of sadness surrounding Peter, he seems boring, however, he is witty and really kind man, and I really enjoyed his adventures. I did like the other characters in this novel as well, they portrayed different angles of this messed up country, and I really enjoyed their thoughts about machinery and consumerism.
I really liked the narrative of this book, it is constantly changing, diverse, and absolutely absorbing. This novel has a political spice to it, that some people might not like, but I think the rich vs. poor theme suited this book very well. This novel doesn’t have major twists in it, but all the turns and adventures were really interesting and entertaining.
I loved the writing style of this book, it is very thought-provoking, very well researched and educational. I am truly wondering, how Marc-Uwe Kling produced this wonderful book, how he came up with all this. The whole story is quite surreal but makes sense at the same time.

*I received a copy of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*
This wasn't my usual book despite me reading most things romance. It didn't focus mainly on the romance, which may have been my issue with it.
But it also felt a little messed up. It didn't read that smoothly for me--this could be down to it being from Netgalley and not a final version of the book--and struggled to get into it until a good quarter of the way into it.
I may need to sleep on it until I can get my thoughts in better order.
So I slept on it and I'm still unsure of how I feel about it. I didn't gel with it much but I had to keep reading just to see how it was all going to play out. Would her mum come back? Would they be found out about living alone? Who was the person/people who were helping Lucille and Wren with the food and stuff? Would she end up in a relationship with Digby?
All of these questions get answered but afterwards I was just wondering what the message is in the story and I still haven't managed to work it out. Is there a message to be learned in it? I'm not sure.
