Victoria Pierco (2 KP) rated Kermode and Mayo's Film Review in Podcasts
Jun 30, 2018
The fact that Kermode and Mayo have been working together for years clearly shows, and the chemistry between them produces some natural-feeling, funny banter and plenty of in-jokes.
Kermode gives fair reviews, not being patronising about children's films and admitting when he has wrongly assumed a film will be bad.
Due to circumstances I am not a regular cinema-goer, but I listen regularly to the Wittertainment podcast just for the chuckles it gives.

AT (1676 KP) rated Pandora Hearts 1巻 in Books
Sep 3, 2018
I'm not usually a fantasy fan, so Pandora Hearts (book 1) was a little confusing at the beginning. However, once the main characters were established, and the plot started to take form, it got a lot more interesting. By the end of the first book, there was a clear direction that the characters were moving in, so now that it all fits together, it'll be easier to move on to book 2! On with the story!
Janette P (23 KP) rated How Saints Die in Books
Jan 18, 2019
The first book club read of the year, did I enjoy it yes and no, it started very well but dragged on too long, chapter 30 was where I would gave ended it.
It did give you a look at the 10 year old mind and how they see the world, which I found interesting and what a psychiatrist would make of the end I would love to know.
All together an interesting if not drawn out read.

Mixed feelings
I loved it but I hated the culmination pretty hard, so much so, how can that not spoil some of what went before? I feel a little angry at where it went after how E&P were built together in the story. I need to talk this out!
The writing was superb, the characterisation just drew you into the story and the storyline had that hopeful but tragic feeling. Overall it was bitter f'ing sweet.
