We have briefly met Justin during Marcus and Kelly's book. We know he's married to Sarah and 'might' be having difficulties, but that's about it. When the book starts, Justin and Sarah are just about to get married. Time flows fairly quickly at the start of the book as you get up-to-date with what is going on for them. Before you know it, you are in the main part of the story and all the emotions that go along with it.
Sarah and Justin both lose themselves and have to try and find their way back, but whether that is together or separately is yet to be seen. Outside circumstances and internal feelings and emotions stand in their way, together with the normal 'pressure' from family. Being young, married and having to live up to expectations is always a hard thing, especially when you are drowning in sorrow.
A wonderful story told with feeling and sensitivity, and a great addition to the Songbird novel. I really hope that Jane finds her own happiness soon. Definitely recommended.

Being young, married and having to live up to expectations is always a hard thing, especially when you are drowning in sorrow.
A wonderful story told with feeling and sensitivity, and a great addition to the Songbird novel. I really hope that Jane finds her own happiness soon. Definitely recommended.

Work hard, and smart, don't just rely on talent
I'm always a little dubious about books in the self-help genre as 200 pages can be translated into one tagline. However, as a book, Grit is intelligently put together, with interesting research and anecdotes which was pleasant to read. You do need to use external resources that she provides from time to time, which I didn't do, so some of it may not make complete sense.
And unlike a lot of pretentious self-help books, Angela Duckworth is a pioneer in her field, and she keeps the self-congratulations to a minimum.

Beautiful cinematography
Stellar cast from diverse backgrounds really added depth to the characters and pulled together to breathe new life into an already very familiar story.
Kenneth Branagh did an excellent turn as director for this film with beautiful scenery shots and tight edits.
His Piorrot was unexpectedly excellent (David Sachet has spoiled me for all other Piorrot), offering a very human take on the detective without losing any of his steel.
If I had one criticism, the film felt very long and slightly laboured, but overall was a stunning film.

Such an odd blend of characters and plots but screw it it worked.
Like it it says on the tin Thor: Ragnarok was such an odd movie that I really don't know how it worked out so well it was kind of all over the place but honestly I think that's what just made it stand out so well.
For me I think this was probably the funniest Marvel movie to date I loved all the characters and I loved all the actors that were playing the characters they all just got together so well and made the movie that much more enjoyable.

Out of the New generations doctor who David Tennant is by far my favorite doctor. His charisma brings something special and perfect to the doctors persona.
The relationship between Rose and the Doctor is something beautiful and so bittersweet that there love can never be.
Show runners Russel T Davies and head written Steven Moffat make a great team and when they work together the show episode, story boards arcs and monsters are something that make any other show hard to match up to.

A great Icy ride
Disney yet again comes through with a portrayal of a true sports story that hits our hearts. The cast is a unique blend of serious and comic actors who come together to tell that tale about the 4 Jamaican sprint runners who want to be be in the Olympics so bad they train to become Olympic Bobsledders. Though being ridiculed and bullied throughout the movie they overcome adversity and make it to Lake Placid to show that everyone deserves to represent their country no matter what they are there to compete for.

While not as insanely good as the first volume, Dallas is still full of great stuff. I think one of the downfalls of this installment is that despite their weirdness and flaws, the kids of the Umbrella Academy are likable. And likable together. Following the events of the first book, this one drives the wedge further between them, taking them off their A game (assuming they had one) and sending them reeling. The tragedies pile up against the back drop of stopping (or ensuring) that JFK is assassinated in Dallas. Cant wait for the next volume.

This is the final book in the trilogy and although it does wrap somethings up it kinda leaves a "that's it?" feeling. The characters do not seem to develop any more than they did in the second book except Marco whom I hated throughout the series. Usually the concluding book in a trilogy is the biggest because all the revelations that come but this was the shortest. I think this could have been done as two books instead of three and ended stronger. That said I suggest you read all three together for the best experience.
