Let's go to war!
I'm always weary of sporting films especially a new boxing or in this case MMA film but Warrior is a cut above the rest. As stated above, the best part of the film is Hardy, Edgerton and Nolte, their characters have such depth and all have a personal and tragic obstacle to tackle. I found the filming and the setting of the Burgh (Pittsburgh) to be a perfect touch. The films is emotional in multiple places and this is heightened by a excellently selected soundtrack from The National. One to watch again and again. Love it.

We are venom
What can I say about venom.
When venom was first announced people was saying he is not a strong enough character to hold his own he needs spiderman but he has proven in the comics that he can hold his own with some memorable storyline.
Tom Hardy very good choice for casting plays him well.
Action and funny what's not to like

I disregarded all the vile comments and reviews on this movie and gave it the opportunity that it deserved given the inclusion of Tom Hardy in the cast. I should have listened to the comments and saved myself the time.
This is one of very few movies I've ever screened that I had a legitimately difficult time finishing. It was awful.
The most memorable parts of the movie all involve disassociated grunting by Capone (Hardy) and his losing control of bodily functions throughout. That's not a great thing to be remembered for, yet here we are.
The movie takes the approach of looking at Capone's life after his late life release from prison. While that premise may contain some potential, the execution here is treacherous. The filmmakers would have done better to actually try to do a genuine fact based account of the last year of the mans life rather than a fabricated corncob of delusion that we were left with.
I'm really sorry for Tom Hardy. I honestly don't feel like the end product is something that he would have signed up for given his past projects.

Tom Hardy as both Eddie Brock and Venom (2 more)
Carlton Drake
Humour
It was really good. It is unfair and REALLY unclear as to how it can possibly be compared to Catwoman and the 2015 Fantastic 4. It was so much better than the critics give it. I would say, though, it's not the best comic book movie. It's more on the Ant-Man level of quality. The way Tom Hardy showed the Eddie Brock/Venom relationship was really good. Michelle Williams' Anne Wenning, Eddie's ex girlfriend, was kind of bland but was still a good character. Riz Ahmed's Carlton Drake was a REALLY good villain. They really played up the you-must-hate-him vibe. Apart from those three, the other characters were meh at the most, and wasted in ways. The humour was good and well placed. I DEFINITELY recommend seeing this. Forget what the critics say.

Not what I was expecting! A great performance by Tom Hardy as the title character, but the monologue style delivery for the majority of the film was quite odd and bizarre at times, although that fits the character well. Only seems to focus on a few key moments of all his time in prison, with very few facts or dates? Could have been a lot better I think.
