I loved this book. I didn't realise how much they had been through as a couple. All the haters and threats. Eva has come out of this still feeling very much positive as she did at the beginning. I loved Stieg's books on The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo trilogy, it opened my eyes to a whole new government that was corrupt, and perhaps continues to be.

Third and highly regarded installment in the Indy trilogy...I dont consider Crystal Skull to be of the same calibre and it served to tarnish what went before.
This entry is cream of the crop for action as Indy tries for the Holy Grail and bumps into his Father played to magical effect by Connery.
Totally outstanding feel good movie easily an instant classic.

"Are L’avventura and L’eclisse considered the superior films in Antonioni’s unofficial trilogy? I prefer La notte. The details of the lives of the Pontanos give La notte humanity and universality. I identify with Giovanni’s vanity and insecurity, and I identify with Lidia’s melancholy. The story, by Antonioni, Ennio Flaiano, and Tonino Guerra, makes the abstractions specific and the specifics abstract. A work of art."

"I was so excited by the news of this incredible release and restoration. Every moment is beautiful—as, of course, is the soundtrack by Ravi Shankar. Some scenes even seem to be able to penetrate the boundary of your own personal memory. Electrifying but peaceful. Throughout the entire trilogy, everything is leaving Apu behind, but the final scene shows all currents flooding home to him."

"How could so profoundly sensitive a writer of beautiful English have been such an apparently shallow, even unpleasant, man? Whatever the answer, I re-read Waugh’s books again and again, mesmerized by the chiseled craftsmanship of every sentence. I could have chosen any of his books, but the Sword of Honor trilogy, an affectionately comic portrayal of the bungling chaos of military life, is perhaps my favorite."
