"I just really responded to the performance of Zbigniew Cybulski. This is the story of someone who spends their young life in the sewers of Warsaw knowing nothing but war, and then carrying that life without any real reason for living other than continuing on as an urban warrior, falling in love with a bar maid, too late in your life, and essentially discovering lust and passion and maybe the love of his life — in the same day that his life catches up to him and kills him. [Director Andrzej] Wadja is one of my favorite filmmakers. I love Canal and all of the whole trilogy, but Ashes and Diamonds is a film I still think about."

So definitely wasn't my favourite in the Trilogy but who doesn't love a happy ending??? I seriously love Noah and it was amazing to see James get the life he deserves. I loved the twist at the end when I really thought he had gone with Zach to the hospital and he had killed Kierra and I was really suprised when it twisted and he was a horror writer, which yes, I would read those if they were real! I loved the links to the social media parts, very believable and as much of an asshole as he is, Dr Harper really did help people, especially Shaun. Great ending, sad to see it over...

Terminator Salvation (2009)
Terminator Salvation (2009)
2009 | Action, Mystery, Sci-Fi
Released back in 2009, this was - at the time - meant to be the first in a new trilogy if Terminator films.

This is the one set almost entirely in a post apocalyptic 'future' (2018, so - at the time of reviewing - 2 years ago), with Sam Worthington still riding his fame after Avatar (before seemingly disappearing), and with Christian Bale taking on the role of a grown-up John Connor.

The film, however, is probably more famous for his on-set meltdown/temper tantrum...

No Arnie - for once - and with a young Anton Yelchin (before his unfortunate demise) as Kyle Reese, this is actually better than I remember it to be, if not brilliant.

"Speaking of Giorgio Moroder, you have to give it to the guy. What a brilliant team, him and Donna. From the very opening 'Once Upon A Time’, this is a kind of a mini-musical and completely sums up the studio 54 NYC disco era in one fell swoop. This record could actually turn a straight man gay - especially the trilogy 'Now I Need You', 'Working The Midnight Shift' and 'Queen For A Day' It must have cost an absolute fortune to record with all the brass and string arrangements, but this is Donna at her absolute post 'I Feel Love' best. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall."
