Must read for horror fans
This is a book with selected short stories from Adam Nevill. All dark and twisted in their own right.

Brilliant

Wow my anxiety levels reading these stories were through the roof! From the very first to the very last, each story had a new way of making me want to close the book and find something fluffy and happy to read.
Adam Nevill has such an amazing way of bringing you right into the world he's created. Being from Birmingham reading Always in our hearts really struck home as I read about familiar roads I travel daily I was able to feel the anxiety he built up travelling those roads too. The character creation is next to none I just can't believe it's taken this long to read these brilliant stories!!

I had a few sleepless nights also throw a few nightmares in too. They are so dark and twisted playing on emotional and mental well-being of the characters, which are done so well.

Definitely a must read for any Horror fan!!

First they found a desecrated body…

… then hell followed.

Four friends spend a weekend hiking in the woods, getting back to nature, never imagining they would end up being hunted.

But they soon stumble into the territory of the sick and twisted Webb family—psychopaths with a taste for human meat. And these monsters are hungry.

Will the group make it out of the woods alive? To do so, they will have to face these cannibals head-on, and unravel the secret behind the twisted family’s very existence.

You will love this brutal, gory, and violent horror story, because it raises the tension on every page and will leave you exhausted and drained.

Honestly it was well written,a strong story and decent characters. Also it was very middle of the road when it comes to these types of stories. I knew Tim was one of the from the Start it was made quite obvious. Overall a good and gory if not predictable.

Well what an unexpected book with a great ending! Abuse is a very touchy subject to write about fiction or not & Maggie did a great job delving into the mind of someone who had been abused as a child. It was a fast paced read that was just the right amount of twisted while still being quite believable at the same time. Mavy is a fascinating character...she seems so fragile & wears that mask well. But deep down inside she's a time bomb hiding behind a flour covered apron.

An interesting continuation of the Wizard of Oz
As a Wizard of Oz adaptation I found this novel to be interesting as it focuses on issues such as greed, trust and power that are prevalent in modern society as underlying themes. Overall, I found the novel to be engaging through its twisted interpretation of what happens after Dorothy returns to Kansas. Despite this, it should be noted that there are parts of this work that drag a little due to a lack of action in chapters that are focused on character and plot development.

Literally everything about this book was good. The character development, the plot and twists, and the ending. (0 more)
This quickly became my favorite book before I ever finished it. I read more of the dark and twisted genres, but this was a beautiful story with just enough edge to keep me absorbed. It unfolds a relationship between a mother and daughter who can see into the future causing her to be an outcast when all she is trying to do is save the lives of the people she holds close to her heart.

FBI Agent O'Hare and wanted criminal Fox must team up to recover a stolen Chinese artifact and return it unnoticed before an international incident occurs.

The plot was quite fun and twisted in some unexpected ways. Plenty of tense moments hoping our heroes could pull off the impossible. The characters are still on the shallow side, but this book is fun, fun, fun!

NOTE: I was sent an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Stephen King, when asked in an interview, claimed Carrie is the most terrifying story he has ever written and that he will never read it again.

While I don't think Carrie is THAT terrifying, I do feel that it had its moments. Everyone is familiar with the iconic image of a girl standing in the spotlights drenched in pig's blood--but what they don't know about is what comes next. A little bit gruesome and a little bit twisted, psycho nightmare, Carrie is one book that I will never be able to forget.

Utterly absorbing
Amazingly, Disturbingly, Darkly Delightful
A fabulously dark audio play, with brilliant actors and sound effects. Absorbing you in a disturbing series of 'recovered memories', which is married to a great storyline, all of which intertwine into an amazing tale of insane corporate malice, murder, satanism, anthropophagy, torture, sadism, and greed.
Dark, twisted, and in some places, truly disturbing, it's probably best not to listen to this right before bed. It is, however, pretty much a must listen for those who enjoy the darkest of dark fantasies.
