Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Mark of the Demon (Kara Gillian, #1) in Books
Jan 6, 2021
I'm more of a paranormal romance type of girl than urban fantasy. I liked this but I missed the romance. It's kinda an essential part of a story for me.
I'm not sure if I'll be continuing the series yet.

Intriguing
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I'm usually more of a paranormal romance person than urban fantasy but this dragged me in really quickly. Very interesting and intriguing book. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Tom Turner (388 KP) rated Fool Moon (The Dresden Files, #2) in Books

On the surface of things the Dresden Files are pulpy urban fantasy novels, but having just finished this, the second in the series I'm begining to understand why others rave about them. The world building is quite incredible, especially given I hear it just gets better from here!

Amber Tucker (13 KP) rated Panther Prowling (Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon, #17) in Books

I love this urban fantasy romance series!!! The D'Artigo sisters are strong amazing women! The sisters have grown so much. I love the secondary characters and how Yasmine is able to introduce a character and series later fits them into the story so well. I am can't wait for the next book!!!

Cyn Armistead (14 KP) rated Nightlife (Cal Leandros #1) in Books

Not bad for a first novel (I think it is one?), but I'm not really interested in re-reading it. It is an interesting concept, and a different take on several concepts than most of what I've read in the urban fantasy genre. I'll probably give Thurman a second or third chance.
