2020 | Crime, Documentary
Crime documentaries are, by far, my favorite programs to watch. Last week Hulu released FX on Hulu, and this was the first non-fiction show from FX.
It's a nice, tight, four episode series about a guy who tracked down his birth mother, and subsequently his father, who he believes is the Zodiac Killer. It was completely engaging, and the evidence was compelling.

To avoid spoilers, I have to stop there. It's well worth the watch and I highly recommend it.

Not bad
I'm a fan of Mark Wahlberg so I may be a little biased but this movie was pretty good. A little predictable but the acting was decent with both old and newer faces. The action was decent. There was bit of comic relief but mostly the story held a serious tone. Overall this movie is clean enough for the kids to watch(maybe not REAL young ones). If you enjoy "dirty cop" movies you'll enjoy this one. Worth a watch!

Standard Peter Berg, but entertaining nonetheless

Only needed to watch to follow the storyline
Currently working my way through the Marvel films in the right order. Was told to watch this so I could understand the storyline but it went on for too long and I was clock watching towards the end. Even my son who is a great Marvel fan said this was a boring film. So you may have to put up with it so you understand the plot that runs through the films.

It does make you watch without doing something else such as knitting, I put the needles down and concentrated on the film. It does keep your attention because there are lots of twists, just as you think the plot is nearly over, off it goes on another tangent. Would I watch it again, probably not, only because I now the ending and all the twists and turns. Good way to spend a couple of hours.

Top Boys
Cannot wait for the 2nd series of The Boys.
Superheroes who on paper are the model heroes, but behind closed doors are a bunch of needy over powered arseholes. Oh and Starlight is stunningly beautiful, oh and Karl Urban is amazing, oh and the Superman clone is more like Brightburn ( OMG I need to review that as well!!) and just everything! Just watch it. If you have had enough of goody two shoe heroes watch this

Fun watch
Another old one I've never seen. Sooo cheesy all around but still a fun movie. Lots of fake blood, silly trinkets and bodies exploding. The acting was on par for a 90s movie-full of cheesy one liners. The story was also what you'd expect from a 90s vampire flick- lack of real emotion but full of weakly choreographed action sequences. If you've ever seen a "Tales from the Crypt" show/movie you'll like this one, too. Worth a watch.

Annie Hall (1977)
Annie Hall (1977)
1977 | Comedy, Romance

"Love Annie Hall. Everything is so random in his films but it’s also so grounded, and it’s so nice to watch. I like when you watch a film and you feel like you’re a part of somebody’s life for an hour and a half. It feels all improvisational, but it’s interesting, it moves along and it has a good story. And it’s just nice to see those people, because there are, you know, mistakes, which becomes the magic of the film."

Hey you guys, if you're looking for a fun flick to watch with the ohana then this should fit the bill. It's very Goonies-ish, and even stars Ke Huy Quan who played Data in The Goonies. If you've been to Oahu then it's fun seeing all the recognizable places. And if you're lucky enough to curl up with your ohana to watch this movie, then you no need to go on a treasure hunt for the treasure is right there beside you.
