A proper horrible horror film
So my kids are now getting to the age where I was when I really started to get into horror films and my eldest wanted to see something properly good. She has watched the It's, and Grudge's and Saw's but wanted something that she would properly remember.
I chose this as I have always loved it and she (and I) wasnt disappointed. It's the only film that she has watched so far that she says she'll never watch again as she found it "horrible and disgusting " but she really enjoyed it. Very tense and the acting from the whole cast is totally spot on.
Nearly 40 years old and still outstanding.
Watch it if you haven't already

Great Western can watch over and over !!!
I had opportunity to watch this film recently. I am really impressed of how the storytelling, music, and cinematography all complement each other. I have enjoyed other classic westerns that star John Wayne. But Clint Eastwood does a great job as the central character in this western as does the supporting cast. The thing I love the most about the film is the fact is does not focus too much on dialogue. Instead the character's facial expressions combined with great music compositions tells the audience what is going on. If you enjoy movies I encourage you to check out this film you will not be disappointed.

what the actual heck
I don't understand the point of this film. I know that so many films don't have to have takeaways or anything you're supposed to learn and that's fine. But I genuinely don't understand why this film was made and why it freaks so many people out. On top of the plot just sucking in general, Melanie and Mitch are just weird. Mitch's mom gives me the same vibes Uncle Charlie and niece Charly had in Shadow of a Doubt. So many of his films give me incestuous vibes and this one was no different. I also hate his savior complex.

Thank god this was the last Hitchcock film I had to watch. I will probably never watch a Hitchcock film again. Good riddance.

Galaxy Quest, the second viewing, this is the voyage of my movie watching. I explored Amazon, to seek out new movies, and I boldly went where I've already been before. I remember watching this when it first came out. I didn't remember liking it all that much then to be honest, but glad I gave it another watch this morning because I really enjoyed it this time around. I think being older and having been to several conventions now I got the humor more than I did when I was younger. Definitely recommend giving Galaxy Quest another watch if it's been awhile for you too or if you've never seen it. To infinity and beyond, oh wait, wrong Tim Allen space captain movie.

"I grew up watching western films, and for someone to slow down the pacing to a sort of a western drama — I just thought was so incredibly well done. The acting in it was absolutely phenomenal. The cinematography of it was beautiful. The tone, the production — just everything about it. Go down the list of everything about all the departments of a film and I feel like everybody nailed it on that one — just knocked it out of the park. It’s just such a beautiful piece of film to watch. Sometimes I like to just play it in the background with the volume off — just to be looking at the imagery of it. Oh, man. Watch it with the lights off. It’s awesome."

"Potemkin is taught in film schools worldwide, more like a fossil than a real, breathing animal that must be dissected. Watch it because it’s important. So budding filmmakers are taught about formalism and montage, and they rarely get to watch Eisenstein’s later works, like Ivan the Terrible. They’re missing out: imagine a biopic run through the meat grinder of German expressionism, with every image connoting the pitfalls of absolute power, with cutaways of faces that are thankfully forever captured in celluloid marble, with a sense of mounting state paranoia and ever-crumbling artifice. Potemkin may have the classic scenes, like the dish, the lion, the guns, but Ivan has taken all those early lessons and boyhood feints and given us a masterpiece."

"Mike Leigh’s a big filmmaker for me; I’m just now realizing how influenced I am by him. I keep returning to his movies, and I could watch them over and over. Naked does seem different than all of his other films—he’s got a darkness throughout all his other stuff, but this one is the darkest. You get hints of the mystery of how he’s working with the actors and how close they are with each other. There’s a part of me that’s jealous of that but also wants to aspire to that, to have that kind of intimacy in the way you create characters. When you watch his movies you can feel how hard they’ve worked and how immersed they were."

"Breakfast Club. I was actually having trouble because I would say Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles and Breakfast Club, but that would be three. Of all three, Breakfast Club is my favorite. But those John Hughes films, with Molly Ringwald and the Brat Pack, those are my favorite grouped films. They’re just so… they’re timeless. I feel like, even when you’re watching them now, they’re so modern, and the characters are so real. They’re just so appealing to me. I watched them with my mom when I was really young. I always would watch things with my mom that maybe other moms wouldn’t allow their kids to watch. I associated with them right away. I just really, really love John Hughes."

True Blood - Season 4
True Blood - Season 4
2011 | Sci-Fi
This is one of my favorite seasons of True Blood. At the end of season three, Sookie disappears, and think she's only gone for a few minutes, but it's been months.
I mostly like this season because there's a ton of Alexander Skarsgård. I like the addition of witches too, Jesus is one of my favorite characters. I love witchiness, so it was perfect for me.
Of course, as with other seasons, there's something about Sookie that every dude can't ignore, and it really doesn't make sense, but you just pretend it does. The cliffhanger at the end of the season shows what's to come, and honestly, I didn't watch beyond the fourth season for my True Blood re-watch event.
