Unique (1 more)
Funny yet horrible
When it comes to unique comedy/horror, Cabin in the Woods ranks right up there with The Evil Dead, Shaun of the Dead and the other classic comedy horror films.
It kind of a tale of two halves as the standard teenagers stranded in the woods tale starts to unravel with splashes of other scenes which seem unrelated when you first watch them. Then it slowly comes together.
The elevator ride midway through the film embarks the remaining characters on a descent to another world where all sorts of other unique creatures, ghouls and goblins reside.
The climax of the film has to be seen to be believed, but will not be forgotten once you see it. There is no formula here and is truly one-of-a=kind.

Brad Pitt & Edward Norton, What a Duo! (2 more)
One of David Fincher's Best
Dark Humor with a Satisfying Twist
The Twist that Hits Harder than Any Punch
Fight Club is a classic at this point, itself a riveting adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk's also classic novel. The first time you watch it, the twist hits harder than any punch thrown in the movie. The second time you watch it, it's fun to try and catch all the signs pointing to the twist. It's crazy good, mostly driven by Edward Norton and Brad Pitt's strangely powerful bro chemistry and director David Fincher's excellent vision. It is understandable that the casual movie-goer may be turned off by Fight Club however, as it is dark and a bit too nihilistic in places for its own good.

Good film but at times hard to watch if you already know about the true story
This was like watching a train crash for all those who know about Rathergate. Thanks to a cocktail of management pressure, ego, self-esteem and politics, a group of CBS journalists broadcasted the most extraordinary claims about George W Bush jnr ahead of the elections in 2004 - without verification. Memos were published without authentification, showing the worst of journalism.
This film is literally the opposite of the Spotlight investigations on church abuse, which took careful planning over the span of a year. This on the other hand was a slapdash job in 5 days, costing a lot of jobs in the process. It's hard to watch knowing the outcome but acting from Cate Blanchett was fabulous.

Jacob Batalon as Ned (absolutely hilarious!!)
Had high expectations and I wasn't disappointed. Homecoming was surprisingly funny and definitely worth the watch !
Loved the video diary at the beginning!! Tom Holland was a great choice to play young spider-man!
There's no origin story, so for anyone who isn't familiar then watch the earlier movies (which I highly doubt) There are a view plot twist thrown in which you wouldn't expect (but I won't spoil anything) The way the movie was shot felt like it wasn't trying too hard which definitely worked to it's benefit, I feel like movie nowadays try to shove so much CGI that it takes away from the story and actors, but this was really refreshing, hence why I love the video diary at the beginning so much

It's a stupid shark movie, what did you expect!?!
When a deep sea expedition unleashes a prehistoric killer mega shark, a team of divers has use their wits and skill to outwit the mega beast to survive. The animal is cunning and ferocious, so it will take all the crew has got in order to make it through.
Not sure what people were expecting. Certainly not Jaws or a classic horror movie. More like a cheesy Godzilla movie in the water. Some of it was implausible, cheesy or stupid dialogue. The CGI wasn't bad mostly, but a few parts felt very fake.
I'm sure my expectations were low based on what I heard beforehand; however, don't get me started on comparing movies to books. That is a lost cause.

Amazing & Heartbreaking
I loved this 3 part drama on BBC. It really showed how black people where treated as slaves in the 19th century Jamaica. This programme need to be shared and show to us all. It was so heartbreaking to see that July have to give up her first child as she didn't want him to go into slavery. Also I loved the guy who she had her second child with but I was shocked how he turned on her and took her child with her owner. I am so happy to see that she met up with her first born and to see he lived a happy and free life with he's wife and 2 children. If you can find a way to watch please watch it! I recommend it!

Excellent yet again
To say that I’ve binge watched the first 4 series of Line of Duty in less than month says a lot about how good it really is. And what’s better is that the standards just never seem to drop, which is pretty impressive.
Can’t say much without revealing any spoilers, but this is an engrossing and entertaining series. There isn’t as much ambiguity in this as there is in some of the earlier series, but it’s still fascinating to watch it all unfold. And to have Thandie Newton guest star is a real bonus, she’s fantastic as Roz Huntley. The plot itself only further expands and unveils new mysteries as well as wrapping up some earlier characters and storylines. My only issue is that I have no idea what I’m going to watch after seeing the next series!

Interesting plot development (1 more)
Quirky and complex characters
Phenomenal read
If you are searching for a book you can forever return to as a firm favourite, Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre is that book. This is the kind of read which asks you questions, and you ask them back. With each read you learn something new, uncover something further, connect with a different character.
When reading, it is interesting to pay attention and watch out for references of fire and ice - this can add layers to your understanding and add a depth of interest.
Also, watch out for gothic tropes such a doubles, and see how these add to the plot.
Overall a fantastic read, though the ending may seem anti-climatic to some, I personally find it charming.
Enjoy this Victorian novel!

The setting of each season
A train wreck I can't stop watching
Okay first things first I have watched and will continue to watch every season of this show but fucking hell I almost never enjoy it and I must be a low key masochist because half way through every season (well except for Coven) I am so just done and frustrated that I end up waiting for the rest of the season finishes so I can just binge watch the rest of the season because like i said I just like to punish myself because every single season finale has been such crap that I'm always left disappointed.
My biggest problem with the show is that it just relies so much on shock that the stories always end up suffering for me the characters always feel one dimensional.

I miss Bill Paxton
Bill was remarkable in the range of characters he played throughout his career. Whether it was the obnoxious big brother in Weird Science, the annoy Corporal Hudson in Aliens, or a demon killer in the amazing Frailty, he had dynamic range and energy and he is sorely missed.
Twister is one of those films you can't help watch when it is on even if you have seen many times. Yeah, a lot of the acting is over the top, especially with the "evil" storm chasers, how dare they take corporate money!?!
The storm sequences make up for it though with many intense scenes that make you want to run and hide in your seat.
Bill seems to hold things together, though, as he always does.
I miss him.
