I must admit that I really, really struggled with this book because although the story was good and the way the author weaved historical fact with fiction was well done and it was clearly well researched, it was just too slow for me and there was too much jumping from scene to scene making it hard for me to keep track as it didn't flow particularly well and I didn't get the excitement or tension that I was hoping for.

I accept that this is my view and this book will certainly appeal to a lot of people ... you just have to see how many 4 and 5 star reviews this has got to prove that but it just wasn't for me.

Thank you to Hodder & Stoughton via NetGalley for my copy in return for an honest and unbiased review.

A brilliant modern day zombie film. I've not seen the original yet, but this has the same appeal as 28 days later. A great cast, modern take on the genre with good gorey effects. Well worth checking out.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. If I didn't already love Rhys enough from last book, he became such a unique, memorable character in this one. Feyre as well--the whole story was just as gorgeous and riveting as the first.

Kidman and Mcgregor are charming as crossed lovers not meant to be together.

I was completely blown away with the world building, the characters and the way the author weaved this fantastic tale. Full of adventure, fantasy and just completely well rounded. Highly recommend it.

This was truly an enjoyable book. The author's ability to weave fact and fiction together was wonderful and she did a fine job with this well developed story line and superb characters. You will certainly enjoy this book.
